Aurora had been sat cross legged in front of her big sister for how long - she couldn't say. It felt nice to speak about him, cry openly and share memories about him without having people cringe away. No one would sit and converse with her about Sam, which meant she kept it bottled in, eventually overflowing into a tsunami of panic. Even Will and Millie struggled to speak about him with her - both aware of the mess he made with his influence and the pain he caused their best friend.

Everyone expect for Lilian, she would laugh and smile along, then allow her to cry, all without any discomfort. It had only happened twice before ; where they had one of these conversation - once was right after his funeral, and the other was when Lily caught Aurora having a panic attack.

Lilian was looking on at the fragile, broken, glass figure in front of her with such softness imbedded in her gaze, "He was a good kid, Rory." This caused Aurora to look up through her glazed eyes, her lips parted. No one had said that since he died, not one person. When everyone found out about the drugs, and the parties, it seemed to erase the good he brought.

A single sob, "I miss him so much."

She brought her hands up to cover her face, as an array of tears formed in her lap. Lilian brought herself closer to her sister, placing her hand on the nape of her neck, guiding her head to the safe space between her jaw and shoulder. She leant her cheek on Aurora's head as she whispered small comforts in her ear, and closed her eyes - listening to her sister wheep. And as she sat, she let a single tear fall, as she realised that no matter what, there was nothing she could do to take away her pain.
