After what happened at the market, Eda got Raine back to the owl house and put them in their nest so they could nap and recover. Eda signed she hated that Raine had taken some of the cure. She can handle the curse  herself just fine, but it hurts her to see her partner going through the same thing she is going through. Hoody burst through the window, causing Eda to jump." Hoot, hey Eda, your sister is hiding in the bushes thinking she is sneaky, but I found her. I'm the best at hide and seek!" Eda grew mad." Hoody! How many times have I told you not to scare me? What did you say Lilith is here?" Hoody nodded." Yep!"

Without a word, Eda ran to the front, called Owlbert along the way, and kicked down the door, and the sight before her was hilarious. Hoody had tide up Lilith with his body, and Lilith was trying in vain to get out. Eda burst out laughing." Stop laughing, Edalyn! Tell your owl tube to let me go!" It takes a while for Eda to stop laughing." Ok, Hoody, you can let Lilly go now." Hoody made a sad noise." But Eda, I, and my new friend are having so much fun hoot!" "We are not friends!" Lilith yelled." How about you let Lilly go, and I'm sure you two can play some other time." Hoody let Lilith go, excited that they got to play later. With Hoody gone, Eda focused back on her sister. She crosses her arms and glares at her." So Lilith, what are you doing here? If you're here to get me to join a coven, you are wasting your breath." Lilith gets up and brushes off the dirt from her clothes." It's not about that, Edalyn. I got a report about what happened at the market today that Raine turned into some bat beast, and why is one of your eyes silver now?" Eda sighed. She knew this was coming, especially since Raine turned in the market." Raine used the pain-sharing spell to split the cures between us. I'm afraid I have to disagree with what they did, but what's done is done, and it seems that Raine's beast is a bat and not an owl for some reason. We don't know why." Lilith was quiet for a Second, processing this new information." I'm sure the emperor can help them just like he can help you, and Raine is one of the best bards in the boiling isles. They could even be the next bard coven head." This makes Eda's blood boil." No Lilith! The emperor will not help us. We have a System in place to help keep the curse under control, and since it is split, it's a lot easier to do that, so go back to your master like the pet you are!"

Eda stormed back into the owl house, slamming the door behind her." Ow! Hoot!" she should have known that her sister believed what the emperor had told her, but she knew better than the emperor just wanted a trophy once he petrified them. " Eda?" Eda looks up the stairs and sees Raine standing at the top, giving her a concerned look. Eda's face softened at the sight of her partner." I'm sorry. Did I wake you up, rainstorm?" Raine shook their head." No, I got up by myself, and so you weren't there, then I heard you yelling at someone, and so that Lilith was outside. Is everything okay?" Eda nodded." The emperor heard about what happened at the market today, and Lilith tried to get us to join a coven, but I told her to fuck off. But how are you feeling any better after your nap?" Raine nodded." Yes, so much better, but it's not good that the emperor has found out about us sharing the curse, but I know we can take on another they throw at us."
