Paula (cashes)
This morning is not like most mornings. most of my mornings are just bland to me, but this time I feel like a weight have been lifted off my chest. I feel relieved and a much better mood.
Knowing what happened yesterday may have tore me apart somehow, but I know that I'm just going to move on with my life. looking back at the pass would only bring in unwanted stress and I don't need that.
"We almost there mommy?" Bria wine as we drive to my salon. Today was Saturday and I had to check out my new and refurnished place. I was happy and satisfied to here the progress.
Cassie, Coco, and Natasha been passing out flyers and spreading the word about my new upcoming shop.
"No! now hush up and hold your horses." Cassie say with a playful glare. The girls started to giggle at what she said. I smiled loving all three of their laughs.
"why do we have to hold our horses Aunt Cassie?" Denise asked.
"Yeah what does that have to do with shushing?" Bria asked making us both laugh in the front.
"you guys are to smart for your own good." I mumble.
"Nina still shy back there?" Cassie asked.
"No, I'm just tired."
"Why is that?" I asked concerned. At her age she shouldn't even be tired. She should be just as hyped as Bria and Denise.
"I'm having the nightmares again momma." Nina say quietly. I look in my reflective mirror at the tears in her eye and my heart broke at the scared look in her face.
"Oh baby, why haven't you told me." I look at her briefly before looking back at the road.
"I don't know. I don't want to be a bother to you." she mumble and I sigh.
"Listen Nina," I say pulling over as we stop in front of my shop. "You are mines now, you will never be a bother to me nor Dewayne. We love you no matter what the circumstances are. If you're having nightmares come lay in the bed with me and Wayne okay?" she nodded slowly and looked away. "I love all of you okay girls?"
"We know. We love you too." They all say together. Me and Cassie laugh before I started unbuckling my seat belt.
"Can I call you mommy now?" Denise asked with a hopeful look in her eye. I stop what I was doing staring at her now. "please?" she asked with a smile.
I didn't know what to say because 1, That's Dewayne and Crystal's daughter and I wouldn't now how the both of them felt about it. 2, me and Dewayne haven't even discussed this, and 3 He's not even here to discuss it with.
I don't want to let her down, but I don't want her dad to be mad at me.
I don't give a shit about her mother.
"and can I call Dewayne Daddy now? I like him a lot." Bria says smiling.
"What about Rolland?" Cassie asked. I almost nearly smacked the clueless out of her.
"I love him to.." she pondered "but he hurt my mommy, and Dewayne treats her better and treat us all right."
"okay, how about this." I say looking at all of their eyes now. "We talk about this after we visit the shop and get ice cream yeah?"
"YEAH!!" they say all jumping out the car. I laughed at the excitement.
"I never thought I would see this day." Cassie say looking at me with a smirk "young mean ass Paula a.k.a Cashes taking care of a bunch of kids."
