I was surprised to see the woman that called for me. It was my dear friend Irene! What is she doing here!? Irene who runs towards me gives me a big hug and kisses my mandu cheeks. "W-what are you doing here Irene!?" I was happy to see her since the last time we saw each other was 3 days before I ran away from father telling me about my engagement with Kai. Irene and I were out partying at a famous club.
"Well I saw you on the news and heard you would be here too! And your dress looks so sexy!" Irene who was smiling at me cleared her throat quickly after my jealous girlfriend was glaring at her.
"Hello Ms. Manoban" Irene bowed formally toward Lisa and Lisa bowed in return.
"Your Irene Bae from the S.M. Industry correct?"
"Yes, I'm the new CEO of my father's company" I don't know why but I feel this intense pressure from the both of them... Like two cats about to fight.
"Well," I clapped my hands. "We should head inside now shouldn't we?" I smiled and Irene smiled taking me away, but Lisa grabs my other arm preventing Irene to take me away from her.
"Ms. Bae, you can't just take my partner. This is very informal of you to do even as a CEO" Lisa coldly said and Irene let's go of my arm nodding her head.
"Your right Ms. Manoban, I apologize for being careless. I just haven't seen my dear friend for a while that I've missed her" Irene smiled but I could see annoyance in that smile.
"We can talk later Jane, I want to catch up with you since I've been gone" I smiled nodding my head at Irene and Lisa took me inside the event.
"I didn't know you where friends with Irene Bae" Lisa asked wanting to know how I'm friends with her and so I didn't mind answering her.
"We've been friends since elementary but she only knows me as Jane Lee"
"Ah, I see, well I'll let you catch up with her once the charity presentation is over" I smiled and we later talked with other business people about the charity event and other things. Irene and I took some glances as she made funny faces on how boring it was to talk to people which made me laugh.
Once the charity presentation was over Lisa was busy making connections and had let me talk with Irene. We both walked to a balcony closing the big long curtains to let others know that the balcony was taken. Irene stretched let's out a heavy breath. "God it was so boring talking to old men that only cared to talk about their yachts really had nothing to do with why were even here" Irene hands me a glass of wine she grabbed for us.
