Lisa and Jennie were together talking with the other guests who were brave and glad to speak with a Manoban although Ms. Lee was easier to talk to since Lisa was a bit scary to them. Mr. Dean shows up a few minutes later and welcomingly greets everyone. He approaches Lisa and Jennie who was standing beside her. "I'm glad that your here Ms. Manoban!" He stretched his arm out for a handshake and Lisa squinted her eyes with a smile.
As much as Lisa hated handshakes she accepted it. A Manoban wouldn't easily accept something if there was no benefit. Lisa has a hidden reason on why she bought Mr. Dean's company. There's nothing without a reason for a Manoban. He offered a handshake towards Jennie but Lisa clears her throat and talks. "Will you be announcing soon Mr. Dean?" She said with a solid tone that intimidated Mr. Dean. He puts down he hand and smiles cunningly.
He said he would in 15 minutes after he was done with his retirement speech. After some talking Lisa excuses herself and had Jennie follow along that was having a conversation with a business woman. They both walked over to where the drinks were. Lisa ordered a cocktail and Jennie asked for wine.
They both drank their drinks and the lights dimmed a bit having a spotlight at the top of the stairs with Mr. Dean on the balcony to look at all the guest that were invited.
"As you all know I'm having health issues and will be retiring soon. My luxury company will be handed to someone who can fully take over" Mr. Dean does a long speech until he finally announces who the new owner of his luxury company is.
"The new owner of my company will be handed to LaLisa Manoban, also know as Ms. Manoban!" The spot light hits Lisa and everyones gaze fall on her who rises her cocktail in the crowd. The people applaud for being the new owner and for her incredible work ability.
"Thank you Ms. Manoban, I'm very truly grateful" He smiles.
"Also, my niece Lily-Rose-Depp will be managing things as well in the company" Lily-Rose-Depp greets the people and does a small grateful speech. After that the party continues and all the guests partied. Lisa was having conversations with business owners and Jennie was too until someone taps her shoulder. She turns and sees that it her friend Lily. She wore a black swan themed dress with makeup black feathers on the side of her head,
"Come, follow me!" She grabs Jennie's hand and drags her away from the party. Jennie wasn't sure if being away from Lisa was a good idea.
"Lily, I'm not sure if I should be away from my boss..." Jennie said worriedly.
"You'll be fine Jane, it's not like you're some prisoner. I'm just bored being around boring people. Aren't you bored too?" Jennie sighed but admitted that she was bored. The girls went outside away from the party inside. Lily takes out her cigarettes and hands one to Jennie. This reminded her of when Irene handed her a cigarette during a charity event.
