After practice, Bakugou headed off to see Midoriya, while Shoto made his way to the dorm. Nervously, Shoto Todoroki contemplated how to reveal the truth to Bakugou. "What if he rejects me? Yet, I can't keep this hidden any longer. It's weighing heavily on me. I trust that Bakugou will understand," he mused, heading towards the dorm's elevator. His mind raced with thoughts and apprehensions.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Momo walking past the elevator. On a whim, he stopped the elevator doors from closing and approached her.
"Momo?" Todoroki began tentatively.
She turned, her face inquisitive. "Yes, Todoroki-sama? Is there something I can help you with?"
Gathering his courage, he stammered, "I... I've never confessed my feelings to someone before, and I-"
She gently interrupted him, her fingers wrapping around his. "Hold on. Are you saying you've fallen for someone?" Momo smiled encouragingly. "Who's the lucky person?"
Todoroki's heart raced, and he feared that Momo could hear it pounding. He hesitated; he couldn't reveal Bakugou's name. What if Bakugou's reaction to the confession was unfavorable, especially considering the game they were involved in? Avoiding her gaze, he mumbled, "It's just that... Momo... I..."
Reading the turmoil in his eyes, Momo reassured him, "It's alright. You don't need to tell me if you're not ready. But whoever they are, they're fortunate to have captured the heart of someone as genuine as you."
Grateful for her understanding, he said, "Thank you, Momo. Can you help me confess to him? I wronged him, and I owe him an apology. I want to show him how deeply I feel, how my heart races in his presence, and how my eyes seek only him. Can you... will you help me?"
Momo looked pleasantly surprised. "You're head over heels, aren't you?" she teased. "Don't worry, I've got you covered. You might not know this, but I'm a fujoshi. Don't underestimate me." She beckoned for him to follow her to her room.
Confused, Todoroki inquired, "Fujoshi? What's that?"
She smirked, "Look it up when you get a chance."
Once in her room, they began brainstorming ways for Todoroki to confess - through letters, poems, or maybe a romantic dinner. Their conversation seemed endless, with Todoroki barely noticing how time had flown. Amid their talk, Shoto's phone buzzed with a message notification. Seeing it was from Midoriya, he initially chose to ignore it.
However, once Momo left the room briefly to fetch snacks, Todoroki decided to check his phone. The message from Midoriya made his eyes widen in shock, and his heart sank.
"Todoroki-kun, I'm ending this now. I'll tell Kacchan that your feelings for him aren't real. It was all an act. I'm so sorry, Todoroki-kun. I had no idea Kacchan also had feelings for you."
Panicking, he quickly typed out a reply: "Wait, Midoriya! I need to talk to you."
But the screen displayed: Midoriya offline...
