Alexander had been at his job for a few months now and had been doing incredibly well. He was a hard worker, always punctual and completing his tasks on time, while also managing to be a positive presence in the office. Everyone had grown to like him, but today there was something a bit off about him.

Washington had been working in the office for a few years now and had seen many new people come and go. He had grown close to Alexander and taken it upon himself to watch over him, especially since Alexander had mentioned he had been going through some personal issues. Washington had been keeping an eye on him and was noticing that something was off.

Washington decided to approach Alexander and asked him how things were going. Alexander smiled and said he was doing great. Washington could sense something was still off, but decided to let it go for the time being. That was until he saw the glimmer of a knife in Alexander's pocket.

Washington was concerned, but didn't want to pry too much. He asked Alexander what he was doing with the knife and Alexander simply said that he was just carrying it around for protection. Washington could tell there was more to it than that, but didn't want to push it. Instead, he encouraged Alexander to talk about his feelings and asked him if he was getting any help with his issues.

Alexander hesitated for a moment and then said he had been to a few therapy sessions, but that it hadn't been as helpful as he had hoped. Washington suggested that Alexander start seeing a different therapist, that maybe the one he had been seeing wasn't the right fit for him. Alexander thanked Washington for his advice and said he would consider it.

Washington then asked Alexander if he was taking any medication for his issues. Alexander said he wasn't, and that he was trying to deal with his issues naturally. Washington could tell that Alexander was still struggling and suggested that he give medication a try. Alexander thanked him again and said he would think about it.

Washington then asked Alexander if he had any hobbies or activities that he enjoyed. Alexander smiled and said he liked to go for walks in the park and watch the sunset. He said it helped him clear his mind and de-stress from work. Washington was relieved to hear that Alexander had some activities he enjoyed and encouraged him to keep doing them.

As the conversation wound down, Washington could tell that Alexander was still carrying a heavy burden. He asked Alexander if he felt like talking about it, and if he wanted to, he could do so in therapy. Alexander said he appreciated the offer, but that he wasn't ready to talk about it yet. Washington told him that was okay, and that he was available if Alexander ever wanted to talk.

Alexander thanked his friend for caring and for the advice. Washington smiled and gave him a pat on the back before leaving. As he walked away, he couldn't help but feel that there was more to the story than Alexander had let on. He had a feeling that the knife in Alexander's pocket was more than just a simple tool for protection, and that whatever he was going through was much more serious than he had let on.
