My mind couldn't comprehend what was happening and I was hoping wherever Roman went lead to the devil's door. Asmodeus better be worth the trip.

Ravens and wretched harpies cruised over my head, squawking and crying out for help. My eyes danced around the fiery atmosphere, my face covered by a blanket of warmth with every step I took. It was quite deserted for miles on end and that was when doubt started to play in my mind. My lover was missing and I couldn't even get to spend my time with him, the first day that we are dating. Or were we? I don't know if a kiss was discreet enough-

'AGHHHH!' I screamed when a hybrid of the birds carried me with its claws, its eyes vicious and cunning and if you had told me I would be dying in hell, kill me twice.

Dragged through a current of wind or gust you could say, my eyes widened to see the huge fort, foreign to the barren land. It was a humongous castle alright, covered in shackles and chains and I was hoping I had made it.

The hybrid placed me down, spoke to me in a foreign language that I didn't really catch considering I was shocked I was even alive right now.

The gates suddenly opened which had caught me off guard, the dust had me coughing up my chest, as if it was vacant for 1000 of years.

A vociferous, overcrowding crowds puddled at my feet, screaming chants and other otherworldly things from their charcoal rotten tongues. If repulsive was a crowd these things would qualify well.

Maybe meeting the devil himself was a bad idea. But I had to know what the world was like before my own self was wiped. Maybe I'd even remember my parents-

'Oh what is this mice lurking in my chamber? I had asked for food!' A man shouted, his words slurred as if he had an accent but that's not what it was...

He placed his scaly finger under my chin to examine me and my eyes widened.

This guy was beautiful. His porcelain skin had no wrinkles or any grotesque marks like the creatures had. I couldn't mistake him for a human though; his features were too perfect and his eyes were a gleaming red.

'You can speak right? You clearly aren't a demon, or a harpie. A vampire is possible... Are you a vampire?' The man asked his long nails lightly piercing into my skin when I hadn't answered.

'Oh I? Well no I'm anything but... I'm,' I pondered before deciding what answers to give. If I told him I was predominantly Angel I'm sure my head would be on a guillotine. Make them think you're powerless.

'I'm human,' I uttered in English and the blonde's eyes remained on me as if the answer was simply not good enough for him.

'English? A human from earth? Yet you understood the language of our motherland. Please tell how you know if you weren't an inhabitant or a potential spy of Hell?' The blonde challenged me and I gulped when I noticed my fuck up.

To be honest, I had no idea how I knew the language at all and realised that the slurred accent was not English at all but a whole different language. But when I got a little kick in the stomach I had realised why. My unborn baby was half demon.

'I am into history and historical artifacts. I've read a lot about demons and other races and have tried to learn their languages. You are Asmodeus no?' I lied, subconsciously holding on to my stomach.

'Guards leave,' The perfect blonde ordered before he placed himself on his throne.

'In the flesh. Why are you here, human?' Asmodeus tapped the side of his throne, the last word left a bitter taste in his mouth. I gulped at the thought of how a man can be so pretty but cruel at the same time.
