"So you travelled to a different world, Grumbot then tried to purge that world, they came to us; What else have I missed since my Bike Trip?"
Gem, Scar and Pearl looked at one another, there was something silently being said between them.
"Well- See, there was a small incident regarding The Rift. . ."
"I wouldn't call it a small incident."
Iskall came over,"I know, I just don't know how to tell him without either scaring him or traumatising him.", Mumbo frowned, Pearl shook her head as Iskall cleared his throat.
"So, when you left for your Bike Trip we obviously all missed you, you know that but Grian missed you the most, I'm not gonna give examples but he really did."
Mumbo nods.
"So, he spent a lot of time with The Rift that just appeared even after the whole Empires Incident, the Grumbot incident didn't help at all by the way so one day, Scar here and Doc went down to check on him. . ."
. . .
"And?"
"He was talking to The Rift, but once they got closer, this is gonna sound weird; But he was talking to you."
Silence.
"What?"
Pearl nods,"Yeah, on the other side of the Rift Grian was talking to you but not you, this Mumbo had short hair, no goggles, it was wearing your old suit but what stood out the most was it's eyes were purple and had a purple scar running down his face across his eye; It definitely wasn't you, but to Grian it was as he said it had green eyes but it wouldn't talk, it just stared and smiled while Grian spoke to it. . . Which might have driven him a little over the edge when it comes to his sanity.", Gem nods, Scar nods too.
"So then, myself and Pearl went down to talk to him one day after he had been talking to this 'Rift Mumbo' for about a couple of weeks now and. . . I dunno what happened, what made him break, but Grian tried to go through the Rift to be with that Mumbo and we had pull him back, hold him back from going through the Rift.", Gem nods, Scar cleared his throat,"So; We decided it was time for an intervention: We had to sit Grian down, talk to him and convince him that wasn't you and the real you was on a trip and would come home soon.", Gem took out her phone,"We then called you, we Grian to call you and you picked up and you two spoke and all while that Rift Mumbo was just staring, not breaking his stare or smile."
Mumbo took her phone, and to his shock there in the Rift. . . Was him.
"What the. . .?"
"It's like something in The Rift took your appearances from different times like your short hair and old suit."
"That and the suit had this purple stain, which we can assume is some wound but as I said it disappeared when you did eventually come back."
