Chapter 7: Spending a day together part 1

Maria POV

These last few days have only got me more and more excited for this day. We have been texting back and forth about stuff we both might like and he has been dropping a few hints so I would know what to wear and stuff like that, but other than that I have no idea what we are doing. I wake up and begin to get ready and find my outfit for the day. He told me no makeup, since there will be a chance that it will get ruined. but I have decided to just pack a little makeup just in case. Putting on my dress and shoes, I put up my hair in a ponytail and waited for Hobi to text me that I should get down from my hotel room. I only waited for 5 minutes until he texted me. Getting down I see the car that he described for me, he gets out, but is wearing a mask and a cap so he won't get noticed by others. He waves me over as he jumps a little from excitement, making me giggle as I walk over to him, "hi there. Are you ready for today?" he asks me as he opens the car door for me. "Yes I am. Thank you. I say with a smile. "good, and my leg is much better already so i am also ready for everything. first. let's grab some breakfast, i am starving." he says then closes the door after i get in. when he got in the car himself i answered "sound good." "wanna hear some music while we drive?" he asks and looks at me, while putting the car in reverse. "sure." I said to him. He puts on a playlist of BTS songs and we both begin to sing our hearts out while laughing at ourselves.

We just went to a bakery with a drive through, and quickly got our stuff so we could eat while on the road. "It will take us about two hours to go to the first destination, so good thing we have the whole day huh?" he says as he fishes out a bagel and puts it in his mouth, then begins to drive away again. "Sounds good." I said to him, while I began to eat my food.

We just sat and talked back and forth about random stuff on our way, then suddenly he turns into a place and says "here we are." As I look out of the window I see we have arrived at a shop by the ocean. I can't figure out what shop it is though. "So what are we doing here, Hobi?" I ask him as I look over at him with confusion on my face alongside a gentle smile. He laughs then says "i hope you like the idea but i thought it would be fun to go snorkeling, i have only done it once, and i thought it was an amazing experience." "You're kidding right?! i always wanted to go snorkeling, this is awesome Hobi." I say to him as I cap my hands together from excitement, making him laugh his cute laugh. "and now I see why I shouldn't wear makeup." I then say as I begin to unbuckle the seatbelt and get ready to head out of the car. We exit and make our way over to the shop. "Hello Hoseok." the man behind the desk says. "Hi there. i went to school with his son." he says while pointing. "it's all yours today guys. Now are you ready to go snorkeling?" the man says to us. We nod and smile at him. After we have collected our gear, we go into the changing rooms, then meet outside by boat when we are ready. Funnily enough i am the first one to be finished changing, and just go over to the boat and wait for Hobi and our guide. Once they are here we get a quick tutorial on how to do this in a proper way, and make sure that the snorkel is sitting in the right way, around us so we only have to put it in our mouths when we dive. we get on the boat and then we are on our way out on the ocean, while we sail i look over the railing into the water and see a steam of fish with many different colors swimming away from the boat, a turtle swimming by our side for just a little while then head off in the other direction and as i point at it and look up at hobi i notice him only staring at me and my enthusiasm for the underwater creatures with a fond smile on his face. After we are a bit more out on open water the guide stops the boat and we get ready to jump in the water. We get on top of the boat railing and we take a look at eachother with our diving masks on and laugh a little at how silly we look. He extends his hand for me to take, and I don't think it is to calm my nerves. I know he is a scaredy cat and might want to hold my hand as we jump in the water. Whatever the reason is, I smile at him and gladly take his hand. Who wouldn't have done that? "3.. 2... 1. JUMP "I scream while laughing and we both set off from the railing together and we hit the water. When we get to the surface to breathe quickly, we fix our masks and equipment one last time before we begin to snorkel.

We were underwater for a long time and just admired the amazing view that is just this short a distance from the beach and bay where the shop is. After we get on the boat again I think we have been out here for more than an hour just looking at everything our eyes could look at underwater. while my swimwear i am wearing is a one piece suit. Hobis are two pieces. "Can you zip this up for me? its itching" he says as he tries to reach his back and scratch. "oh. sure." I zip it down and he removes it like a shirt. now standing with his stomach exposed. I have been an ARMY for a long time, but I think that Hobi is the one who is least likely to show his skin, so I feel kind of flabbergasted as I look at his toned stomach, maybe for longer than I should. "enjoying the view huh?" he says then laughs as he scratches the area he was itching before, taking me out of my thoughts. I feel my cheek heat up and look away from him. "hey can you blame me?" I ask him as I shrug my shoulders. "Guess not," he says, still laughing, then sits down beside me. "Well, chance of subject, this was amazing Hobi, thank you. cant wait to see what else you have planned." I say to him as I rest my head in my hand as I look over at him. "no need to thank me, there might be a period where it isn't as nice since you have something to tell me. but other than that i will make sure everything else is perfect." he says to me. oh yeah i have to tell him why i was crying. Should I just lie to him and make something up? no way i am doing that to the Jung Hoseok. "When do you wanna talk about that?" I ask him. "Let's get something cold to drink when we are back to shore. then we can talk. That way we don't have to worry about it the rest of the day.
