Three: First Fight

Elizabeth smiled as she watched the game. Her brother was doing amazing and everyone was cheering for him. The one thing that did bother Elizabeth was the fact that Nathan hasn't dumped Peyton. Nathan looked at her causing her to look away. Sighing, Nathan went back to playing trying to think of what he did wrong.

Once the game was over, Elizabeth didn't stay behind as she decided to walk home. She was deep in thought when she saw Nathan and Peyton making out. Jason went to get his sister just to see Liz staring at the car that held Nathan and Peyton making out. He walked over to her. "Come on, you don't need to see this."

"Do me a favor, Jason."

"Sure."

"Tell Nathan the agreement is off." She tells him as she looked back at the car to see Peyton getting upset with what Nathan said and saw him looking at her. "He didn't keep his end of the deal."

The next day, Elizabeth was at her locker trying to find her pen. Nathan got beside her and sighed. "Jason told me that the deal is off."

"It is." She tells him. "You didn't end things after saying you would."

"Liz, I didn't know if you were serious..."

"Last night, I felt my heart get ripped out seeing someone who I'm trying to trust make out with a slut." She tells him. "She finds you boring, she talks about how horrible the sex is, etc,. I don't like her, but I do hear what she says." Liz slammed her locker. "I want my book back."

Nathan watched her walk away causing him to hit the locker he was leaning on. The thing is, this is their first fight and yet, they aren't dating. He saw Peyton and had to think of another reason to dump the girl so he can have Elizabeth.

Walking through town as everyone was setting up for the Burning Boat Festival, Elizabeth was trying to forget about the fight with Nathan. Haley saw her and ran to her. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Just having a bad day." She tells her.

"Nathan?" Liz rolled her eyes. "I see how he looks at you, but yet, he has Peyton."

"Yeah and he doesn't get why I'm mad. He won't give me my book back because of what its about and he made a deal that he went back on." She tells her. "Lucas will kill him if he finds out."

"I don't know what to do about this, but I think you should find a way to make him see he missed out."

"Fine. I will tutor him and that is all I will do."

Haley shook her head as Lucas joined them. Elizabeth didn't say much as she was trying to figure out how to make Nathan regret going against the agreement they made. Fixing her glasses, Elizabeth was going to dress up and fix her hair the way she usually does it and let the boys flirt. She used to tell them to back off, but since Nathan is being an ass, she was going to make him regret everything.

The next day, Lucas was confused with what his sister was doing, but he wasn't going to question. The two walk through the halls and Nathan saw them. He saw what Elizabeth was wearing and knew, he will have a talk about this. Especially showing her the mark he left telling her she will always be his. He saw her going into the tutor room making him follow her.

Hearing the door shut, Elizabeth turned and glared. "We aren't tutoring till later."

"Why the hell are you wearing that? Makes you look like a slut."

That hurt her. "You think I'm a slut when all I'm doing is trying to prove something to you!' She stated. "I don't sleep around with just anyone." She had tears in her eyes. "You're an ass!"

She went to walk out, but her grabbed her and moved the ring. "Do you see that mark?"

"Yes. Why?" She asked.

"I bit that finger when we were in kindergarten together. I told you that mark is to prove to everyone that you are mine even though the two of us forgot. I saw that the other day and I've always wanted you!"

"Then dump that fucking bitch." She tells him.

"It's not that easy, Liz."

"Than all I'm doing is tutoring you. Nothing else."

Nathan sighed as she walked out. He knew she was hurt over the slut comment, but he was angry, jealous was more of the word because the woman of his dreams was wearing clothes that was getting everyone's attention. Haley walked in and stopped seeing him standing there. "Maybe you should talk to her instead of getting angry." She stated. "She really loves you. I know she does. It's always been you. In her room, she has a picture of the two of you. You kissing her cheek."

"I really do love her, but she wants me to do something that is very hard to do unless I get her to break up with me."

"If you really love her, you shouldn't let Peyton hold you back." She stated. "Follow your heart. If you truly love Elizabeth Roe, than you better think fast before you lose her forever."

He wondered what she meant till he turned to see one of the players flirting with her. He glared as he made his decision. He was breaking up with Peyton tonight.

Finding Peyton, he walked over to her. Jason hid to hear what was going to be said. "We need to talk."

"About?"

"Us. I am ending things." He tells her. "You've changed and you can't seem to take a joke. We don't do anything anymore."

"Is this about Elizabeth Roe?"

"No." He says. "I've realized a lot of things and I'm done."

Before Peyton got to say anything he left. Jason smiled as his best friend did the right thing. Now to see how things work out for Elizabeth and Nathan.

Nathan found Elizabeth the next day. Jason told him what he had done to Lucas. "Hey."

"Hey."

"I...uh..ended things with Peyton."

She looked up. "Why? You said it was harder than it looked."

"Haley told me something and now I realized a lot of things." He says. "I did it for you and I'm so sorry for calling you a slut. I just didn't want people taking what's mine."

Elizabeth sighed. "It's okay. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did." She tells him. "What do you need help in and we can go through with our deal."

"Deal."
