Ten: Secrets Come Out

Elizabeth and Nathan met up to study. Nathan looked at the notes as they were working together. "Keep up the good work, Lizzy." They heard Coach say. "Nathan is keeping up his game and grade."

"He came to me and asked. That's why we are studying now. I promised I will help."

"And she's the best teacher." Nathan says as he looked at his girlfriend.

"Keep up the work, Scott."

Nathan nodded as he looked back at the book. Liz smiled as she continued going over things not knowing Lucas was watching them. He wondered what was up and why was Nathan with his sister. Liz looked at him smiling as he was understanding the subject they were studying. "How about we hang out later?"

"Sure, but I promised mom that I will look after the place." She tells him as he nodded. "We can hang out a little bit..." the sound of the phone started ringing causing her to look at him.

"It's dad." He says. "Hello?"

Liz looked back at the book as he was talking. Hearing him sigh, she knew. They won't be hanging out today. "It's okay. Go spend time with Dan."

"If things don't work out, I'm coming back to you."

She smiled as she knew he wasn't joking, but when she looked to see Lucas watching them, she knew she had to tell her brother the truth, but how.

Deb saw Liz looking at some things. "Elizabeth?" She looked at her. "Nathan's told me about you. Umm...I know you know I'm helping Karen, but I want her cafe to be known. Do you have any ideas?"

"Open mic, poetry reading, it's whatever comes to mind." Liz says. "Have you asked Lucas?"

"Your brother has been avoiding me since your mother left for school." Liz sighed. "It's okay though, you just helped me." She smiled. "Thank you for loving my son."

"I never said..."

"I know he loves you, but you two haven't really confessed your true feelings. He loves you and I know you love him, but you two haven't really talked about your true feelings, well you did, not Nathan."

"And he has plenty of time to tell me. I will never rush him." Liz says as she grabbed a pack of Oreos. Looking at Deb, Elizabeth smiled. "Thank you for helping mom."

Deb watched as Elizabeth left causing her to smile. Nathan got him a nice girl.

At home, Liz was reading one of her books when her phone started ringing. Reaching over, she answered. "Hello?"

"Liz, I'm coming home. I tried this trip and it sucks. Dad and I can't get along like mom wants us too. I miss you and I'm heading home to be with you." He says causing her to smile. "We should think of telling Lucas."

"And we will." She says as Lucas walked in. "I'll talk to you later." She hung the phone up. "What's up?"

"What's going on between you and Nathan?"

"We're friends for one." She stated as she hated the words friend. "Two, I'm helping him study."

"Well, I don't trust him with my little sister." Liz rolled her eyes. "What?"

"Says the boy who is dating Brooke and yet, he wants Peyton." She tells him. "I will date who I want and you can date who you want."

Lucas watched her leave. He wondered if she was telling the truth or somewhere's along the line, she lied. Which ever one, he will find out the truth soon.

This is just one of the secrets, but i ended it here because I wanted it to be different from the show. Therefore, Lucas is suspicious since Liz let it out that she is tutoring Nathan.
