Fourteen: Fears of Losing You Pt. 2

Nathan arrived at the hospital freaking out as his girlfriend was in an accident. "Dad!"

Dan caught Nathan and held him. "Liz and the baby are okay."

"Baby?" Nathan questioned as he pulled back. "She's pregnant?" He says. "Oh god. Where's Keith?"

"Nathan..."

"No, dad. He almost killed my brother along with my girlfriend and baby. I'll be damned that he gets away from this." He tells him. "He needs to be locked up! If something happens to Liz and our baby, I will make him suffer."

Dan watched Nathan go to the room that held Liz. He sighed as he knew that his son was hurt by this. He walked to Liz's room not seeing Karen arriving. He saw Nathan's hand on Liz's face. "I'm here, baby. I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere." He tells her as he kissed her head. "You and our baby will be perfectly fine. I know you two will."

Karen stopped beside Dan and saw her daughter. "Oh god." She cried as she ran to her. "Have they said anything, Nathan?"

"Just she's pregnant."

Karen didn't care about that. She only cares for her daughter and her son. "Stay with her while I go talk to Keith then I'll go see Lucas."

Nathan nodded at her. He pulled his phone out and called Jason, Haley, and Brooke. First Jason. "Hey, man. Liz and Lucas were in an accident." He says. "I'm here, but I'm with Liz. I'm going to be a dad."

Nathan was happy that he wasn't by himself. His friends were there for him and Liz. He looked at the ultrasound screen and smiled as the baby was okay. Peyton walked in to see the screen. "How is she?"

Nathan looked at her shocked. "Why are you suddenly being nice to Liz after the way you treated her?"

"Because I see how much you love her and I realized I messed up." She tells him. "She never did a thing to me...where's her glasses?"

"I don't know, but Dad is trying to find them or Karen will contact her eye doctor for a new pair." He sighed as he kissed her head. "I'm still here."

Elizabeth looked at him. "I know you're here." She tells him as she heard Peyton. "Why are you here?"

"Because I'm worried about you and Lucas. You didn't have much injuries like Lucas..."

"Where's my brother?" She asked.

"Still asleep." Nathan tells her. "He will be okay. Brooke is with him right now."

Liz nodded as she looked at the screen to see a little dot. "What is that?" She asked.

"We're having us a baby." Nathan tells her. "You are 6 weeks pregnant."

Elizabeth started crying as she could have died and so would their baby. Nathan held her as she cried. He kissed her head as he knew what he was going to do. "Baby, I'll be right back." He tells her. "I need to get something."

Liz nodded as he kissed her before walking away. Peyton sat down. "I can tell when we got here that Nathan was so scared. He thought he almost lost you and the baby." She tells her. "I am so so sorry, Liz, for how I treated you. You didn't deserve any of that when I was just jealous. You are smart, beautiful and everyone loves you. Me? Everyone sees me as this girl who just wants sex. I'm easy."

"Peyton, maybe you should realize that you are making yourself like that. Like my brother. He took Brooke with him because he doesn't trust you and he wants to see exactly how things are going between him and Brooke." She tells her. "Maybe focus on yourself and change your attitude."

Peyton nodded. "Do you think you would like to join us? I'll help you be ready for the up coming cheer competition."

Liz looked at her. "I don't know..."

"I know you got this." Peyton tells her. "After you get out, Brooke and I will work with you." Peyton stood up. "I'm going to get you some food. What are you craving?"

Thinking, Liz has been wanting something. "Chocolate and pickles." Peyton laughed as she walked away. "Doesn't mean that I trust you yet!"

"I know!"

Liz laid back as she wished Nathan would hurry up doing whatever he was doing. She just wants him there with her.

Later that day, Nathan sat waiting for Liz to wake up. Karen gave him the okay for him to ask her to marry him and that they can live in her mom's house. Liz felt a hand on her causing her to look to the side to see Nathan a little bit. "Hey."

"Hey."

"Is mom here?"

"Yes." He smiled.

"Okay. Has she been in here."

"While you were sleeping." He tells her as Karen knocked on the door. "Never mind." Liz laughed as Karen got to her.

"I'm not mad about the baby." She tells her. "Nathan isn't like Dan at all. Plus, Nathan wants to be with you throughout this pregnancy and you are still coming to work for me...."

"What are you talking about?" She asked. "Did I get kicked out?"

"No! Never baby." Karen tells her. "Nathan wants you two to live in your mom's house as it's not far from me. That way you two can work on this pregnancy together."

"Where's my glasses?" She asked. "I can't see a thing."

Karen put her glasses on causing Liz to smile. "Now I can see." She looked at Nathan who had a box in his hand. 'What's that?"

"You have a fear of losing me, but I'm terrified of losing you. While you were asleep, I did a lot of thinking and I will ask Lucas too when he wakes up again." Liz stared in shock as she knew what he was doing. "Will you marry me, Elizabeth Grace Roe."

Karen smiled at her daughter as she was so happy for her. "Yes." She tells him as he kissed her. "When can I go home?"

"Soon." Karen tells her. "Want to go tell your brother the truth?"

Taking a deep breath in, Liz nodded.

Lucas looked at his sister and smiled. "You're okay."

"Yeah." She tells him.

"What's wrong?"

"Remember when you asked about me and Nathan and I told you it was just tutoring." He nodded. "I lied." She tells him. "We've been dating for a while, but were doing other things before we dated. After him and Peyton broke up."

"Elizabeth, you know I don't trust him..."

"But I do!" She tells him. "He hasn't done a thing to you after him and Peyton broke up. He has been changing himself around. He isn't like Dan. He wants to be your brother."

"Fine." He says. "What else is there?"

"I'm pregnant."

"I'm killing him...." Seeing the look he knew. "He's staying." She nodded as she showed him the ring. "And he wants to marry you. Wow, he isn't like Dan."

"Nope." She tells him. "So, what do we do now."

Lucas smiled. "I'm going to make sure my sister is happy." He tells her.

Changing the subject, Liz told him about Peyton talking to her and how she gave the girl advice as Peyton wants her on the cheer team and to be her friend, but Liz still doesn't trust her. Lucas nodded as he listened as he was happy that they were both alive along with his niece/nephew.

Nathan walked in and sat down beside Liz causing him to listen too. Lucas won't deny a thing now as he saw the love Nathan has for Liz. Something he should have seen before. Keep her happy, Nathan.
