Multitude of bombardments resonated in my ears until all I could hear was a long high pitch ring. The gushing wind blew against my face as Dalinda dived down from the sky, avoiding an eel's attack.

"Alessia! Protect the Elementals at all cost!"

Junjie's voice echoed into my ear from my earpiece loud and clear, overpowering the eerie continuous explosions for just a second.

My jaw was shut tight and my back arched when I felt the eels dug its razor sharp claws into my back, excruciatingly dragging their blades down my body. The pain amplified in my head, disorientating me.

"They are too strong!"

"We are running out of slugs!"

"We need to fire the Elementals now!"

The worrying, desperate pleads of the warriors were all I heard.

I knew we were losing.

Dalinda slightly lost her balance when Master Lian landed on top of her, and she started firing slugs at the screeching eels. I felt the blades being pulled out of my body, the heat on my back emitted from the tentacles was replaced by the cold from the wind. My heart was beating against my chest as my back could still feel the shape of the blades in its skin, even though the eels were killed and their blades were no longer anywhere near me.

"Alessia! Take my energy! You'll need it to-"

Horror and blood struck both of our faces as a tentacle blade sprout out of her chest, taking away the colour of her face as well as her soul.

"Ales," she looked down at me with tears at the corners of her shell shock eyes. "Remember who you are."

"No!"

Tears. Pain. I could hear my own voice screaming in agony. It was reverberating inside my head as I once again witnessed the slug energy released from her lifeless body. The energy curled up into a ball, and it shone so brightly my eyes could barely look at it, before the wave of energy struck me faster than the speed of light. Almost as if the slug energy struck my heart.

The power I newly acquired sent my nerves crazy. The foreign overwhelming feeling of pure energy within me was like an atomic bomb ready to detonate. A deafening cry escaped my lips as the force within me burst like a volcano eruption.

My body had no energy left as it collapsed. The next thing I knew, I opened my eyes and felt as though a force was travelling through a weird tunnel with me. It was as if I was travelling in unbelievable speed or through another realm. All I could see were spots of bright lights around the tunnel I was travelling in, but they looked like straight lines because of how fast I was moving. The force that was carrying me finally slowed down, and we arrived at an uncanny cave.

Pitch black darkness overpowered my body that was laying on the ground, darkness was all I can see no matter where I look. The ground beneath me shook with a screech. I shrieked at the sudden sensation of a menacing presence near me.

A pair of blue eyes emerged before me from the sinister darkness. I gasped, trying to scramble to my feet but failed miserably. I had no strength left in my legs. Its eyes burned in blue flames, glaring daggers at me.

The creature's eyes rose as tall as a skyscraper, before it lunges itself at me. My body stiffened, feeling myself getting crushed to death.

I jolted awake, my chest rapidly rising and falling, my entire body breaking into cold sweat.
