I Love You Drops

A/N-Hey guys! Reeve here! I'm so sorry, but this story is also inspired by a song 😬 I'm so sorry I keep making cringey stories that are inspired by songs 😅 I got inspiration for this one from the song "I Love You Drops" by Bill Anderson. I hope you guys like it! 😊💙

*Y/N's POV*

You were finishing off writing your letter to send to your fiancé Leonard McCoy who was currently on a 5 year star fleet mission in space. It's been 3 years since the mission started. He would visit you for a little bit during holidays, but other than that you two barely saw each other. You both always write each other letters and send them back and forth. In each letter you wrote to Leonard, you always tried to hide how you really felt about his absence...so you don't worry him or make him miss you even more. You and Leonard both agreed that the two of you will get married once he's home from space.

You just finished writing your letter to Leonard, and then all your feelings that you were trying to hide from Leonard hit you really hard, and you couldn't help but write at the end of the letter how you were really feeling.

A/N-Btw the italic writing will be what Y/N is writing to Leonard.

'Leonard... I have to be honest with you. I have been hiding the way I've really been feeling about your absence for so long, just so that I wouldn't worry you and so you don't miss me more. But I can't hold it in anymore. I've got to tell you how hard it's been without you. I've been awfully lonesome without you and it's so hard not to break down and cry every now and then. They're not teardrops, They're sincere drops. They're I love you drops, because I love you so so much. They were on my pillow when I woke up this morning. They were on this letter that I've tried all day to write. And just a little while ago I saw them falling on your picture as I kissed it goodnight. They're I love you drops, Leonard. I miss you drops. Hurry home drops. You've been gone so long drops. They're not teardrops just sincere drops. That say I'm lonesome and that I love you. I never knew my heart could hurt the way it hurts for you. I've never lived so many lifetimes in a week. I wish you'd come back to me the way you said you would, And you could kiss these little crystals off my cheek. I love you so much Leonard. And I miss you so so much. My heart yearns for you every single day. Longing to feel your touch and hear your voice again. I miss you and I love you with all my heart Leonard McCoy!'

You finished writing your letter. Folding it and placing it into an envelope. Tears began to roll down your cheeks, falling onto the cream colored envelope assigned to Leonard. You couldn't hold back those tears. You just missed Leonard and loved him so much.

You clutched the now tear stained envelope and walked to the nearest mailbox outside your home. About to feed the letter into the mailbox to be sent off all the way to space in just a few days... you held the letter close to your heart and asked God to make sure the letter got into your fiancés hands and that what you said in the letter wouldn't affect him too much. You kissed the letter and then you pushed it into the mailbox. Then you began to walk home. Already anxious and excited to receive a letter back from Leonard, and to see his beautiful handwriting again, and to read all the passion filled words he always writes for you.

A/N-Hey guys! Sorry this one was really short. Im surprisingly impressed with how this story turned out! I thought it'd suck and be really cringey, but I actually happen to really like it and I think it's one of my best ones so far! I thought of writing this one as I was listening to my liked songs on Spotify and the song "I love you drops" came on which I think that song is so gorgeous! It wasn't until today that I fully payed attention to the lyrics and thought it would be a super good and romantic song to base another Bones story off of! Anyways I hope y'all loved it cuz' I sure did! Please let me know what you guys thought of it!
