Sunny

Something froze in the pit of Lux's stomach. They were here, they had really made it. Months of planning, or "scheming" as society would accuse it of, had finally paid off.

Lux kept still to avoid setting off the signal early. He knew the others had their eyes on him waiting. This wasn't something he could afford to screw up.

The guys he had hired in the middle of the canyon floor froze, clearly at a lack of chain of command.

The man on the left to his credit held up his gun and aimed with a shake in his hand. "Get back Superman."

The boy he had been studying for months, super boy growled, "I'm not Superman."

Poor guys. They had no idea what the real intent was behind their mission. Lux had wired over money into their accounts to transport merchandise to the other side of the canyon. They didn't know that it was a trap, and that the money was set to bounce back to his secret offshore account.

Something knocked the gun out of the man's hand and it clattered to the ground. An echoing laughter filled the space as the boy wonder sprang another batarang at his feet. Superboy launched into the air with a mighty leap and the batarang started diffusing a thick cloud of gas sedative. The men jumped into action trying to clear the fog, and one made it out ditching the bag.

Useless, Lux thought, just as he had intended.

It was almost time, they just had to wait until all five members were visible. He didn't like their chances facing a surprise attack from the martian.

The man tried running and his steps started hitting empty air. "Gah!" He called out being lifted by unseen telekinesis. Mrs. Martian appeared a moment later levitating down to the ground.

There she is.

The martian put her hands on her hips dropping the man back to the floor. A boy with water barriers on his back, Aquald as he knew, sprung from the shadows pinning him into place. His wrists were handcuffed in an instant.

"Nice work team," he nodded addressing them all.
A blur of speed and light appeared next to him as Kid Flash grinning from ear to ear. "Uh yeah, that's great at all but let's take a look at the tech stuff. Rob?"

"On it," the boy wonder said already plucking the bag they were transporting up from the ground.

Another figure approached from the shadows, "if this stuff really is Cadmus why would anyone risk bringing it out here, it still doesn't make sense." Artemis. Archer, long range attacks.

This was all of them. It was time. He gave the signal.

Fiasco

Finally.

Robin pulled something from out of the bag bringing it into a light source. He narrowed his eyes, "keep your guard up. Something isn't right."

That was when she took her chance. Kae exploded from the bushes lunging straight for Kid Flash. He had entered her range without even knowing she was hidden there. She tackled him to the ground catching him by surprise and they rolled across the canyon stone.

"Hey!" He protested trying to squirm from her grasp. But she was strong, and he was out of space to move.

Something sharp and hard suddenly slammed into her right shoulder throwing her off with a small charged explosion.

"Get off of him!" The green archer from the shadows yelled.

Kae recollected herself as the fast boy started coughing, "hey watch it."

She grabbed for him again but he was up in a moment creating space between them. He got a good look at her and narrowed his eyes, "wait. I know you, you're—"

But she had already rounded them into a group under the canyon ledge as Lux had instructed. She hit the ground covering her head.

Robin responded a moment later "take cover! Now!"

Lilith

Lucy dropped the small explosives like trinkets from her station above. They dropped with cannon blasts of noise causing dust to shoot up. They were blind down there with it now. Fiasco crossed her mind but she dismissed it, if she was as strong as she said she would be fine. What she didn't account for was the clone.

Superboy launched out of the dust curtain slamming her against the stone she was perching up against. She grunted trying to push him off but was knocked off balance. In a moment of panic she felt herself slip from the rock and hit the empty air below.

"Devil boy!" She screamed plummeting.

"Hctac reh"

Less than a moment later she felt light and became entranced with feeling of her slow descent. Screw the others this was as close to flying as she was ever going to get. The moment her feet touched the ground she dodged a batarang that was aimed at her. She flipped back with a smirk and looked up to meet the boy wonder's gaze. He narrowed his eyes. It wasn't the first time they had drawn each others blood, and it wouldn't be the last.

Devil Boy

Amir was laser focused on what was happening around them. He had caught Lilith just in time and was assessing the scene from his hiding spot. They would look for him now, after they heard there was a magic user about. Make him a target, and he was ready. But something kept distracting him and playing in the back of his mind. He didn't know where it came from or how to shut it off. Get the boy wonder, get the boy wonder, get the boy wonder, obey Mirage . . .

Lux's notes
- account for the rivalry with Robin and Lilith
- Fiasco might not be even headed
- Watch Mirage to gain knowledge on abilities
