Jude's POV:
"Alright," said Julia with a strong tone of control in her voice. "Who's ready to start brewing a potion?"
We all went to work- the potion was fairly easy, similar to the recipe for punch. Just with more mystical ingredients (aside from the ordinary lemon juice...).
I couldn't help but watch everyone work as they teamed up to bring Paul back. Boy, I'd like to see him let John have it.
John was my favourite Beatle- but each of the four has been at some point. Now, with them here in person, I concluded that I don't have a favourite. How can you? They are really all different and amazing in their own ways. I just couldn't wait to get to know them better. And it seemed as though we would have a lot of time for that, everyone was about ready to go mad being in my Auntie's room. So as soon as we finished, John carelessly ladled some out and splattered it on the floor.
Miraculously, it worked. Paul grew to his normal size, and the seven of us went into my room.
"Stop!" Joan cried as I started to turn the knob on my door. Everybody turned to look at her, and she blushed. "Girls meeting, just a quick one." she assured the boys.
"What was that all about?" Asked Julia. I looked at Joan as well, making it clear that I was wondering the same thing.
"They can't know- if they know, they might get upset or- oh, who knows what might happen?"
"If they know what?" I asked, somewhat impatiently.
"About the future. John and George are dead, guys. How do you think they would handle that?" Julia looked down at the ground. I continued to stare at Joan.
"But what if that could be a good thing- we could literally change history! Stop George and John from dying, John might not marry that awful Yoko, think about it!" I explained, towards the end speaking louder as my excitement grew. Joan looked uneasy. Julia looked replenished, and just as excited. That's the thing with Julia- if she's sad, you can expect her to make a rebound, just like that. She's the strongest individual I know, to tell you the truth. And Joan, she is definitely the sweetest. I don't really know where I stand- but I'd like to know how the other girls thought of me. I just know that we all have clashing personalities, and that, like in the Beatles' case, is what makes us go together so wonderfully.
"That's a great idea- change history!" She agreed. Joan opened her mouth and began to protest as firmly as someone like Joan could, but Julia was already up and on her way to the boys. I followed behind her in a close second. Joan caught up eventually.
When we got there, we saw only Paul and Ringo- no John or George.
"They heard you." explained Paul.
"They ran away- you could've been a little quieter." Ringo said indifferently. Julia glared at him, and Joan seemed just as indifferent. Paul looked at Julia, and something seemed to soften on his solemn face- oh my Beatle, a Beatle is crushing on my friend. Joan saw it, too. She and I exchanged an I-know-what-you-know glance before I dropped my gaze to the ground guiltily.
"Sorry, Ringo." I apologised. Ringo's eyes softened, his hardened appearance faded from his face.
"S'alright." he murmured quietly. "Hey, at least you used my name this time."
We all laughed, but when I turned to look at Joan, she had a different glance on her face. It was a he-totally-likes-you glance. My smile dropped and I lead them up the stairs. Was it true? Did Ringo like me? Did Paul like Julia?
How in the name of Sgt. Pepper did we get ourselves into this?
