Clear sky.It'll keep going forever.
The ride to the verification place has gone pretty smoothly for a while, especially for Texas. Nobody knows that this is happening. Nobody was meant to know anyway. The road ahead of them seemed to be pretty boring. All there was ahead of them was just road, nothing really interesting. It's still continuing and will continue for a long time.
As Texas was driving, D.C. was still checking on paperwork they had to do, as always. They were still working on paperwork when suddenly, the car stopped. They were in a traffic jam.. Car horns were honking everywhere as D.C. put his paperwork off to the side.
D.C. sighed. "This really isn't good.."
"Luckily there ain't a limit to that, right D.C.?" Texas asked.
"There is a little bit.. but as long as you have a verification paper, which you do, there's really no limit for now."
D.C. was more focused on what was causing all of this than working on paperwork. They stared out of the window. All there was was just grass next to the road, maybe a couple other things.
Looks like they would be stuck here for a while..
Meanwhile, the news of Texas becoming independent was spreading very quickly. One by one, more and more people have been getting the news each second. Mexico, on the other hand, was frustrated about this. He wasn't ready for this to happen. It was too late now, there's almost no hope for him..
He got an idea. He decided to rush to Sonora's room, busting the door open.
"Sonora! ¡Consigue a tus hermanastros de Estados Unidos ahora!" (translation: sonora! get your step siblings from america now!)
Sonora looked at Mexico in confusion. "But I-"
"Now!"
"Ugh fine.." Sonora got up and went to America's house and knocked on the door.Nobody was answering the door for a while. Sonora decided to ring the doorbell, being annoyed that it made eagle noises. After a while, Delaware finally answered the door.
"Hey shorty." Sonora said with a smile.
"Stop it! It's not funny," Delaware replied. "Anyways what you want?"
"Are the states that used-"
"Oh them? Lemme go get them for you.." Delaware ran back inside for a couple minutes, getting them outside."Here, take them. Peace out, tall people." Delaware ran back inside and closed the door.
"Hey Sony, what's up? Long time no see!" California and Sonora did their secret handshake before going.
"Come with me, it's important."Sonora and the others started running towards Mexico's house. Once they arrived, they just waited for him.
"Hola."
They all walked inside and sat down on the couch.
"Alright.. so you have the news that Texas is becoming independent, correct?"
They all nodded.
"Well then, we have to stop him! It's almost too late!"
"You can't just do that Mex." Arizona stated.
"Yes I can, Arizona!""She's right." California added.
"No she's not! Now callarse la boca." (translation: shut up)
Mexico kept explaining what his plans were, trying to get the others to agree. It didn't work, but at least they won't have to stop Texas from getting to do the best thing he's ever done.

"It's the next exit." D.C. reminded him, holding on to their paperwork as they went on the exit.
The place they arrived at looked beautiful. There were many other things everywhere that would get people excited, but very distracted.
"Is this it?" Texas asked.
"Sadly, no. I told you there's no roads that connect to the town for some reason." D.C. replied.Texas sighed, stopping where D.C. told him to go.
They finally stopped, but not at the verification place. They stopped at a 5 star hotel.
"Here we are. The verification place is closed right now, since so many are arriving there right now." D.C. grabbed his paperwork and followed Texas inside. The receptionist greeted them, grabbing a keycard for the room.
"Hello! Welcome to the hotel! Room, correct?" The receptionist smiled.
"Yes," D.C. grabbed his credit card to pay for the room. "My so called.. friend right here is becoming independent soon."The receptionist's face lit up with joy. "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!" She held out her hand for Texas to shake.
"Thank you, I guess." Texas and the receptionist shook hands."Well, hopefully you do well! Have a great night!"
Texas and D.C. went to their room, putting the keycard in the door.

Meanwhile, Mexico was trying to look for the hotel on an app on his phone. It took a while, but he eventually found it, but they didn't except any more visitors for the night.
"Mierda." (translation: fuck.) Mexico murmurs to himself, getting mad at the app because it said "no more visitors 9pm- 9am." He then checked on the traffic on the way to the hotel he was looking for and saw there was another traffic jam!
"Carretera estúpida. Siempre un atasco.." (translation: stupid highways. always a traffic jam..) Mexico sighed, looking out the window. It was almost pitch black again out there. He decided to text Spain, since he needed someone to agree with him on something.
"Sister España?"
"What."
"Do you want to help me find Texas? We need to stop him."
"Oh yeah! Just got the news. Well guess what?"
"Yes?"
"I will help you, but on one condition."
"I will only help you if you don't force other people to help besides me. Got it?"
"Si."Mexico smiled, happy that someone would finally help him. He sent his phone down on his nightstand, trying to fall asleep.
................................................
Later that night, the rain tapped softly on the window as Texas was asleep. D.C. was also asleep, paperwork besides them. The rain kept tapping more and more heavily, until it finally stopped after 30 minutes. The night kept on getting peaceful, until a car pulled up to the hotel.
Mexico and Spain walked out, trying to open the door. It was locked. Nobody was in the lobby, nobody was around. The guests were just in their rooms. They waited outside of the hotel, waiting for the doors to unlock.
Nothing will stop them now.
Are they really sure about that..?
