"The Orphan Girl" pt.2(Beiguang)💔🌸

As time passed the two girls grew closer, Beidou began to develop feelings for Ninguang, but she pushed them aside, she felt unworthy of love, and she felt it was wrong for her to love another woman.

The two girls are 18 and 19 now (Ningguang is 19 Beidou is 18) due to Beidou's history of being abused or punished in some inhumane ways when she was a kid, caused her to be a bit paranoid.

Beidou did some unusual reactions to people raising their hands around her. She would often panic and start crying. Sometimes she would even get violent due to the fear.

Ningguang's heart broke anytime she saw Beidou freak out. But she didn't know what to do other than slowly approach and hold her hand low to offer a shoulder to cry on.

Beidou's reactions were all a response to her trauma. But the worst part is; there was not many ways to help Beidou. And Ningguang knew this.

At this point it was almost Beidou's 19th birthday. And she was alwas so scared she never even left the back room of Bubu pharmacy anymore.

She bad lived there since she was 16. But Baizhu is telling Beidou she needs to try and face her fears, if she avoids the fear it will only take over her life.

Beidou couldn't even make herself look happy anymore. The once Joyful girl Baizhu and Ningguang knew was gone. Consumed by her fear. Beidou barely even let anyone near her. Along with her severe anxiety she was now developing more unhealthy behaviors and habits. She was underaged but drinking alcohol. She was smoking a lot. And she stopped bathing. She was a complete mess. And she didn't even have to confidence to make herself change to fet better.

Soon enough her bad habits caught up to her, sending the woman into a coma. Baizhu worked for what seemed to be endlessly for months to keep Beidou alive. She luckily survived. This near-death experience caused Beidou to become very clingy to her loved ones.

She had become clingy to Baizhu who had helped her and because he was like a caring older sibling to her, Ningguang who she loved, and Xiangling her friend.

At this point in time the damage done to Beidou's mental state would take much time to recover. But Ningguang knew it would be best for Beidou in the long run.

Beidou laid on the sofa in Ningguang's office. She was asleep. And Ningguang was at her desk doing her work. Signing papers and writing letters.

It took 4 years to get Beidou into a decent mental state again, now Beidou had just turned 23. Ningguang was already 23 and would be going to 24 in a few months.

Beidou was close to the same energetic and enthusiastic person she was when she first met Ningguang.

Although Ningguang didn't know much about Beidou's past she saw no reason to force the answers out of Beidou. She knows her girlfriend would speak of it when she's ready to speak of it.

"Just an orphan. That's all I am Ningguang." Beidou said softly.

"I was also an orphan. So I understand."

"no you don't! You have been respected by people for longer than i have been." Beidou interrupted.

Ningguang hugged Beidou as she saw a tear fall down the bruntette's eye. Beidou realized she hadn't cried around Ningguang yet, so to prevent a scare she left and went to Bubu pharmacy where she had been for 3 years.

Baizhu quickly knew that Beidou wasn't ready to reveal her eye to Ningguang and left it at that.

After Beidou felt better she walked around and listened into the story Zhongli was telling to kids.

"For those that live too long, the friends of days gone by and scenes from their adventures live on in their memories. As such I have no regrets in meeting you, friend. Should the day ever come that we are not together, you will continue to shine like gold in my memories."

He said as he told the story.

Zhongli noticed Beidou keeping distance and decided to speak with her once the kids left.

"You seem to have distanced yourself from the crowd. Is there a reason for that?" The man asked as he slowly approached the captain of the crux.

"Well I didn't want to make any mistakes and end u hurting a kid so yeah... I just kept some distance." Beidou said as a white-haired woman tightly wrapped her arms around Beidou.

"There you are!" A worried Ningguang said softly.

Beidou returned the hug to Ningguang and smiled. "Sorry darling... I'm fine now. It's connected more to something I'm not quite ready to reveal."

Zhongli watched the two women in front of him, knowing and respecting them for their choice in love as he saw the tianquan gently kiss the pirate's cheek.

"Sorry to interrupt this sweet moment, but this woman mentioned she was listening to the story I was telling to the kids of Liyue harbor, which she also said she didn't want to hurt of scare anyone so she kept a distance." Zhongli said calmly.

Ningguang nodded and gently brushed her unclawed fingers across Beidou's cheek, wiping some stray tears away from her face.

"I'll tell you when we get home okay?" Beidou said softly as she returned affection to Ningguang.

Later sitting in the jade chamber, Beidou paced anxiously as she tried to muster up the courage to be direct with her speaking.

"Darling, I'm not going to hate you or judge you if that's what you're worried about." Ningguang said.

Beidou nodded and sat beside Ningguang. "It's not a big issue, but still it bothers me." Beidou explained the whole fight with Haishan and the permanent details left on her body from it.

"Would you mind showing me?" Ningguang asked, only wanting to help.

"Sure..." Beidou removed her jacket and there was one mark, a burn scar going from her shoulder to her breast.

"There is another spot that is quite frightening aswell..." Beidou slowly removed her eyepatch, her bangs only letting a little of the eye show.

"I thought the eyepatch was for something small... I'm sorry I asked you." Ningguang said as she brushed the hair out of Beidou's face and looked at the burn scars.

"Don't be... I'm sorry for having these ugly marks on my body.." Beidou started to cry, her left eye having a disturbing reaction to the crying, Beidou's left eye was dripping blood instead of tears. It startled Ningguang at first but she quickly got over it. Proceeding to comfort Beidou.

"I love you, Beidou." Ningguang whispered softly.

"I love you too Ning." Beidou replied in a whisper.
