The door of the classroom slammed open. The general studies teacher winced at the interruption as he turned his head to see the y/h/c girl step through the doorway. She ignored his glare, her eyes floating straight to purple ones that were looking at her in amusement from the back of the classroom. This routine had become a sort of tradition for the villain. The students in the class looked at her, unimpressed by her dramatics.
"Ms. y/l/n."
"Sensei," the girl completed her performance with a slight bow and a shit-eating grin.
"You're needed in Principal Nezu's office."
"K. See ya later, Shinso," she responded directly to the boy whose eyes had not left her form since she had entered the classroom, ignoring the teacher who sighed in annoyance and exhaustion. She spun on her feet, exiting the classroom and not bothering to close the door. The halls were pretty much empty as she walked down them. Her mind spun in circles as she thought of how this was likely her shot to get into class 1-A. She had noticed that Shigaraki had taken a particular interest in one of the students in the class, Izuku Midoriya. Being in the class would allow her to get closer to him, and maybe she could learn some information that would satisfy Shigaraki. She glanced out the windows as she walked, thinking about what her life would be like after she joined the Hero course. Her mind wandered to the hero commission. She knew that they would find a way to loop her back into their web of deception and manipulation, no matter how hard All for One had worked to erase her from their history. There were too many outliers. It was only a matter of time, and being in the hero course would undoubtedly increase her chances of being roped back into their corruption. The things I do for you, Tomura.
The girl suddenly hit what felt like a wall. Her shoulder had hit someone else's as she daydreamed about how fucked her life could get if she went through with the League's plan.
"Watch where you're going, idi-"
Y/e/c eyes met red ones as she looked up at the person she bumped into. Shit.
"You," Katsuki Bakugou stood before her, a clear rage in his eyes and voice. She could see his fists begin to clench, and his eyes grew angrier and angrier. His demeanor reminded her so much of a bomb: fuse lit by her presence, ready to explode and humiliate her in the hallway.
"Before you say anything," the girl read his anger. She knew exactly where it stemmed from. Now, she just needed to cut the correct wires before the bomb exploded.
"I didn't use my quirk against you because I would have passed out if I did. I needed to win so I could be transferred to the hero course. I couldn't risk passing out in the arena, which, in hindsight, ended up happening anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter all that much-"
"Shut the fuck up." The girl immediately shut her mouth. "I just want you to know that even if you had used your quirk, I would've beat you anyway-" his tone was aggressive and still angry, but she couldn't help but interrupt him.
"Eeeeeeh, well, I'm not so sure abou-"
"I WOULD'VE, DUMBASS."
A classroom door slammed open suddenly. A teacher poked her head out from the doorway and shushed them angrily. The lady glared at them before shutting her door to continue her lecture. A silence settled among the two students. The girl's eyes locked on Bakugou's eyes; his were locked on the windows. The silence was tense. She felt as though she hadn't fully diffused his anger. Thoughts flooded her brain as she tried to figure out a solution in her head. I just need to cut one more wire.
"Tell you what, I'm on my way to meet Principal Nezu in his office. I'm assuming he wants to talk about my class placement. If I get moved to the Hero course, we can have a rematch," his eyes moved to meet hers, "and I promise I'll use my quirk for the whole fight."
