Woodpine Academy

Chapter 1

"Scarlett! What are you doing, you're going to be late for your first day!", screamed Scarlett's stepmom from the kitchen.

"Yeah, yeah I'm ready", said Scarlett with a not-so-enthusiastic voice, she ran down the stairs to take an apple for breakfast.

"Are you ready sweetheart?", asked her father, seeing her face he knew she wasn't, "Look I know you're not very excited, but you can make new friends okay?", he said while hugging her.

"I know thanks, Dad! Bye Caroline!" said Scarlett while going towards her stepmom to give her a light kiss on the cheek.

"Bye honey," said her stepmom while hugging Scarlett tightly, "You grow up sooo fast".

"Okay enough girls Scarlett you're going to be late", said Scarlett's dad with a serious face, "Okay Dad! let's get going!"

Scarlett was so happy that it was her dad who was dropping her at school. In the car, Scarlett was thinking about everything, was this the perfect school? Is she going to finally meet her stepsister? , she was in another world but then came back to herself when her dad called her.

They've arrived at Woodpine Academy.

Scarlett was all nervous, but decided to calm down it was the first day nothing bad was gonna happen, or at least that's what she thought.

Scarlett saw all the other kids with their uniforms saying their goodbyes to their families. Scarlett was so nervous she thought she would faint, Her father on his side gave Scarlett her suitcase, held her hand, and they both entered this mysterious academy.                                                   This school made her think of a castle, it was old-looking, and there were chandeliers everywhere, it certainly looked like that because it was the best school in the city. Scarlett and her father were walking all over the school searching for the principal's office. 

"Dad I think we're lost", said Scarlett, "I'm gonna be late for my first day of school great", exclaimed Scarlett, "Of course not  kid, turn around", Said Scarlett's father all proud of himself, he had found the principals office, "Come on let's go see that principal of yours", Said Scarlett's father.

He knocked on the door and a woman's voice answered "Come in!", said the woman.

 They enter a room full of CDs, books, and a smaller model of chandeliers that Scarlett had seen at the entrance, it was perfectly hanged over a brown desk filled with paper, pens, and records of all the students in Woodpine Academy, Behind the desk was a young woman sitting in a brown leather chair with blonde hair. Next to her was standing a student who was wearing a  brown short coat with a short skirt and a black tie, she was red-haired, she had freckles, and she was so beautiful. She was standing next to the principal as she was waiting for someone.

"Oh Mr.Hemlock right?", said the principal while showing them the seats in front of the desk, "Exactly and this is my daughter Scarlett", explained Scarlett's father, "Perfect, Scarlett here are your locker and dorm keys, and also your library card, I think you already know what it's for ", said the principal with a enlighted face, "Oh and this is Ophelia she's the school president she'll show you around", Said the principal while presenting Ophelia, "You girls go on I need to talk to Scarlett's father". Ophelia walks out of the room and Scarlett follows her.

"As the principal said, I'm Ophelia, the school president and we are in the same class, but since today is the first day of school for the newbies we aren't gonna do class, so just follow me we're going to the library", said Ophelia with a friendly face, "Okay, thanks for the information", said Scarlett with a calmed face. They walk down the hall, then turn left, In front of them stands a massive door where it's written "Library ". Ophelia opened the door as they were entering, they saw a desk, and a woman who was on her computer working with big round glasses on her face.

"Library card please", said the woman while showing the girls where to swipe their cards,

"Hi Ms. Martinez!", said Ophelia while swiping her card, "This is Scarlett she's new, Scarlett you have to swipe your ID card in this machine," said Ophelia while pointing out the machine, Scarlett swiped her card and followed Ophelia who was walking towards a table full of girls.

"Ophelia! What took you so long?", Said a girl who looked exactly like Ophelia, with red hair, and freckles, she just had two differences she had a light patch on her face, and she looked a little more mature, she was wearing a longer skirt and the same type of coat as Ophelia but a blue one, and she also had a book that had for title "Can ladies kill?". Scarlett was wondering why she was reading such a book.

"I know right I'm sure you already replaced us with that bitch", said another girl with blonde hair, and green eyes. She had earphones and had her phone in her hand, Scarlett wished she saw what she was doing at that moment.

"Oh come on Cassie will you stop that? "Oh, and Ophelia is that the new girl?", Said another girl with brown dark hair blonde stripes, and dark blue eyes. She looked at Scarlett with an awkward smile and took out her phone.

"Yes, it is," said Ophelia while sitting down and showing Scarlett do to same.

"Uhm.. my name is Scarlett not new girl," said Scarlett while taking out her computer.

All the girls looked at her shocked by her sentence, Scarlett on her side was feeling confident she thought that it was the good thing to do.

"Who do you think you are?", said a girl with lightly curled hair, she just sat down and looked at Scarlett weirdly then she started whispering to the mean girl, and they both started laughing.

"I'll present myself first", said the second red-haired girl, "My name is Athena, the girl that was a bit mean is Cassidy, and the girl next to her is Cassandra", said Athena with a large smile on her face she always looked happy.

"I'm Lorine, and the girl next to me is Artemis," said a girl while making a TikTak.

The bell rang to announce the end of the day, it was 5 pm, Ophelia proposed to Scarlett to guide towards her dorm.

"I'm so thankful to you," said Scarlett while pushing her suitcase into the dorm.

"I hope you love your roomate" said Ophelia with a weird smile, then she ran further in the hallway and you could hear laughs. Who were they laughing at?

Scarlett entered the room to find at her horror Cassidy laying on the couch while watching tv, she looked at Scarlett with a disgusted look.

"The year is going to be long ,"sighed Scarlett while walking towards the bedroom.
