Manik's POV
"I met Fab5 after 2 years was shocking for me! They had just vanished after the accident! Paa asked me to leave music after that! Sorry More like he forced me to leave music! At the start I thought he was scared because of the accident but then I overheard them once how he never wanted me to sing and this was the perfect opportunity for him to make me lose music! I felt betrayed from everywhere! That is when I moved here for the first time! I eventually moved back because mom missed me and got sick! But me and dad never remained the same!" I finished my side of story! Just in two days both of us confessed our pasts to each other!
"You were shot?" She barely whispered she looked scared
"It's okay belle it has healed now! You don't need to worry" I said
"Where did the bullet hit" she asked
"Here" I said removing my shirt and pointing near my back! The mark was visible! She was hesitant to touch it!
"It doesn't hurt anymore Nandini it is just the mark that doesn't leave" I uttered and she gently touched the wound
"You are so strong Manik" She muttered but I heard it
I wore my shirt back and said "Ya this wound reminds me how I was left alone"
"Manik I don't know what to say! I have always been a person who fights back for things or people I love! Music is something you love that day when you were singing near the waterfalls I saw it in your eyes Manik you can't let go of it just because those people left you! Truly if they left you they are stupid! But you gave up music because of these reasons? Was your love for it so shallow? You said right you value love the most? Then why did you let go of music Manik? You should have fought against dad you had too take a stand for your passion! You should sing Manik you should! You should have fought Manik! You should Have" She was right! I loved singing and I let it go I let go of something that gave me peace! But dad would have never let me join back how could I go against him! Even when I tried it turned nasty!
"But dad would have never agreed Nandini he is very strict when it comes to such matters! I tried protesting for the wedding that time also things got nasty! I had to eventually agree! I am happy with it though but no one ever goes against him in the family!" I tried explaining
"Did you try sitting down with him and conversing about how much music matters to you? Did you try to prove him that music is not just a passion but your life?"
"I umm but what if he said no?"
"Manik fighting back is always an option you can fight with your parents to prove your point! you could have talked to him and if he still said no you could have fought back! We aren't living in the old era's that we should sit and obey each and every thing our parent say! They are humans too they can take wrong decisions too! Yes there should be a way of putting it out and dad lacked it but doesn't mean he want his son sad! Does it? You didn't communicate with him! It is all just a big miscommunication with dad! You both took wrong decisions and about Fab5 I have a few doubts! I know how much cabir bhai loves you if he is still with them I guess they have a story to share too, listen to them once maybe they had reasons and I promise if their justification isn't sensible I will throw them out!" She stopped talking and went towards the kitchen I just sat there thinking about her words! Was she right? She did make sense but my brain felt numb with all these happenings! She got me water and made me drink it! I quietly gulped it still trying to contemplate all her words!
