After god knows how long of not writing (at least 6 months) quite a few people have told me I need to get back into it and add a new chapter. So some of you have probably waited for this for a while (sorry about that) so... yeah, here you are!

I stood around at the empty bus stop, according to the tatty old timetable that was provided I had just missed my bus and had to wait another half an hour for the next one.  Buses were the pain in my life and I was hopeless when it came to catching them. I rolled my eyes and checked my phone, the battery was running low so I decided to drop Leanne a text and make sure that she knew that I was going to be turning up at her house rather than getting there uninvited and unwanted. After that I didn't dare touch my phone for the fear it would completely die on me and that I would be stranded for a long period of time without any method of contacting anyone.

Eventually the bus turned up at the bus stop, late as usual, I scrambled through my bag for my bus ticket and shown it to the driver who nodded and allowed me to board the bus and find a seat. I sat by the window at the back of the bus and looked out of the window, I sighed and made up perfect scenarios in my mind that I wished would happen sometime soon.

It wasn't a long journey and I was soon nearing my stop, I pressed the bell and quickly got off as soon as the bus had stopped. It was starting to rain and a few raindrops fell on my cheek, I brushed them away and put my hands in my pockets, I picked up the pace and rushed to Leanne's house where I could be out of the cold and wet conditions and into the warmth and safety. The rain began to get heavier as I reached the door, I stood at the doorstep and hesitated before knocking.

"Please be in," I thought to myself as I knocked the door. I waited there for a good few minutes before I saw the figure of a woman approaching the door. There was then the sound of a bolt being moved and a key being turned in the keyhole. Leanne then opened the door to me and greeted me with a smile.

"Saphire! How are we?" she asked.

"I'm okay, more importantly how are you?" I replied, she shrugged.

"I've been better, my head's a little sore but other than that I'm okay! Now, quick, get in the house and out of the rain before you catch a cold!"

I smiled and stepped foot indoors, Leanne then closed the front door and re bolted and locked it once again.

"I've been advised to keep every door and window locked for a while," Leanne stated.

"How come?" I asked.

"One word, well... name, Jake," Leanne replied. I nodded.

"Is he still with the police?"

Leanne nodded and sighed.

"He's going to be there for some time I suspect, he could have killed me apparently,"

I shuffled my feet across the floor and pulled on the sleeve of my jumper as we awkwarly stood by the front door in silence as though we were still processing what was just said.

"Anyway," Leanne started which then broke the silence. "Do you want a cuppa?"

"Have you got any hot chocolate left?" I asked in a cheeky fashion she smiled.

"Of course I do!" she rushed off into the kitchen and I could hear clattering of plates and cups.

I still stood in the hallway but I decided to move a bit further to the doorway that lead into the kitchen. It was darker in there than usual and not because it was 7o clock at night and the sky outside was starting to darken. It was also warmer in there than I remembered, I looked around to see that she hadn't turned the artificial lighting on, her curtains were shut and also the kitchen window was shut for the first time as she used to always keep it open.
