It was Thursday evening and the sun was slowly sinking below the horizon, that day Jooyeon was walking through the streets of the town along the river with Sooyun. They walked hand in hand, Jooyeon on the left, so that his still-recovering hand wouldn't hurt. They had been walking together for a long time - Sooyun missed a few lectures today because her professor didn't show up, as usual, and Jooyeon finished school quickly that day.

Their plan to go out appeared quite spontaneously when a bored Jooyeon decided to go to the girls' apartment, hoping that someone would be there and would be willing to do something with him. Then Sooyun reminded him of his words that he had suggested they go somewhere together the day they returned to school from the Christmas break and then he decided that it was time to fulfill this promise.

Her head tilted slightly to the side, leaning on his shoulder, and she spoke in the silence that accompanied their rhythmic steps.

"Harin has been annoying me lately." she sighed, gaining his attention.

"What happened?"

"We argued again, I don't even know what it was about, it started with me using her hair dryer... I know it sounds idiotic and now we have some arguments all the time." she said, explaining later exactly what was going on, as she stated that the root of this problem lies deep in Harin's psyche and the fact that lately, she has no one to take it out on, because Gunil is extremely nice to her.

As everyone knew, these two loved each other and yet they were constantly angry with each other. They were a life-and-death couple.

"They're actually too cute together lately," he replied, turning into one of the alleys, now they were heading to the bridge. "But you are more," he said, leaving Soo speechless for a few moments before they stood staring at each other and finally kissed.

"Jooyeon..." she whispered, smiling at him. "Why did you even take me here?" she asked with her hands, gesturing that she meant the bridge they crossed when entering the forest.

"I saw that bridge once when I was with Jiseok and I thought I had never been there." he replied simply, his eyes sweeping the bare trees around them.

"With Jiseok, right?" she said as if she hadn't heard his previous words and, tightening her arm around his, she shifted from one foot to the other.

"Yes, we were at the bakery at the time, I think." Soo just nodded and then counted on Jooyeon's initiative to start another conversation. "What are you going to do with the beef with Harin?"

"Probably nothing, Gunil barely came home, they haven't been together long enough to start arguing." she shrugged.

"Aha. I get it."

"And how's your hand?" she asked suddenly. "At first I thought you didn't want to cooperate with me and fucking ran towards Jiseok."

"What?" he suddenly stopped, wondering if he had misheard her. Sooyun's lips were twisted into a strange cheeky smile.

"I thought you wanted to be with him. I guess it makes sense." she started and shrugged again. "You have this thing that your mind simply goes: Jiseok, Jiseok and Jiseok." she spat out the words as if she was disgusted by them. Jooyeon felt like his heart was starting to pound at a breakneck pace and his cheeks were burning with fear.

"Where are you going with this, Soo?"

"When we came back, you didn't even notice me, you just went to Jiseok to cuddle, and with that hand - the same thing! I was fucking nearby, I could have helped you, but you passed everyone on the way and shouted in front of him that your prince should fix your hand. " she shouted, waving her hands in every direction. What she felt now was a mixture of loath and frustration that she had been suppressing for a long time.
