the cozy little cd-shop at the end of the city was barely even noticeable. it was quite simply held on a side street, so hardly anyone knew about the existence of that shop.

hardly anyone knew about the existence of the two employees as well, both of them being rather reserved in the otherwise small city, where everyone knew each other.

hyeongjun was sorting the different cd's to their artist, and there he sorted it in a alphabetical order while he waited for someone to enter the small store.

as the times goes by and technology progresses, barely anyone still bought cds and vinyls, means the store barely even made profit.

hyeongjun hummed along to the soft music in the background, nodding his head to it as he took the stack of muse cds and placed them on the empty shelf in front of him.

the other employee, gunil, was sitting at the counter as he just stared into the emptiness, barely even moving.

it was boring without any customers, hyeongjun never knew what he was supposed to do in that time. so he mostly grabbed the guitar they had hidden in their storeroom and played some tunes on it. this helped gunil to relax and he actually smiled.

hyeongjun never saw gunil smile, he didn't even smile at customers. seems like music is the cure for some people. no wonder he chose to work at a cd shop then, where he's confronted with music daily.

this time hyeongjun was clearing the shelves while gunil played something on the guitar, accompanying the song playing in the background. it sounded beautiful.

some customers walked in, an elderly couple, who were smiling at the two boys working there. their customers mostly were old people, not that they were complaining. it was sweet, especially because they always liked to talk and mostly talked about the time where they were still young.

many of them had always been interested in music. one of them even had a picture with david bowie.

"my best friend and i travelled to the us just to go on his concert" the man explained as he wiped his thumb over the crumpled piece of paper. "after the concert, we went to a restaurant to eat - and met him there."

the couple walked over to hyeongjun, both of them smiling. "excuse me, young man? i want to buy a cd for my grandchild's fifteenth birthday." the woman began as she looked up to hyeongjun. "she likes these new artists, can you give us some recommendations?"

hyeongjun was glad to help. "uh yes sure, so you know, if she likes pop..." these two ended up buying two cd's from lana del rey, going to the counter to buy them.

gunil was counting the money and giving them the spare change, yet he didn't look away from one point. strange.

they requested him to play something on the guitar that rested on his lap and hyeongjun had to say, hearing his co-worker play something on the guitar was heavenly.

the couple was so enthusiastic about gunil playing the guitar, that they even gave him a tip. then they left again - their first and last customers for the day.

and that's how every day went by so far.
