the night after the wedding party was like a fever dream. it was around 1am when gunil and hyeongjun returned back to their hotel apartment.
both of them were tired and didn't hesitate to change into their pyjamas (which were just their boxers and some random shirts).
hyeongjun wanted to lie down on his bed, but gunil asked him something before he was able to lie down.
"can you... come here? i'm cold." did gunil want to cuddle? hyeongjun snickered as he came closer to gunil's bed, lying down underneath his blanket and feeling gunil's freezing body against his own.
"what the fuck, why is your body so cold?" hyeongjun inched closer, laying his head on gunil's chest, his leg between the elder's.
it was silent. both seemed to think about something. hyeongjun didn't know what gunil was thinking about, but he definitely thought about the latter.
he thought about the fast heartbeat he listened to, he thought about the way gunil's fingertips ghosted his back.
now where hyeongjun knew that gunil was finally accepting who he was, he started connecting the dots. what if it really was him, who gunil liked?
"you like me - real or not real?" gunil suddenly asked, startling hyeongjun. liking was an understatement. he told jiseok that he had no clue what he felt towards gunil.
but now, where he was so comfortably cuddled against him, he knew his answer. "real, but..." he looked up at gunil, who looked down at him, confused.
"i think i might like you more than a simple like would describe it." gunil seemed to think about his words for some moments. "so... you love me - real or not real?"
that was the question hyeongjun has asked himself the past few months. did he love gunil? was it really love he felt towards gunil?
goo gunil, the charismatic pretty guy who was much more than his handsome looks.
goo gunil, the charming generous man that added some of his own money to the cash register when a customer didn't have enough to buy their desired item.
goo gunil, the funny caring friend that had to fight with the thoughts in his head yet still tried to be around hyeongjun, despite of the battle inside his head.
so was saying yes a valid answer? did he see himself waking up to gunil for the next years? did he see himself with a loving boyfriend called goo gunil the next years?
"real" hyeongjun replied back. gunil's heart raced as hyeongjun's words hung in the air.
in the quiet sanctuary of gunil's bed, the air was thick with anticipation as hyeongjun confessed his feelings. the atmosphere shifted, and gunil's heart quickened with a blend of excitement and nervousness.
hyeongjun's eyes met gunil's, sparking an unspoken agreement between them. they found solace in the warmth of each other's presence, cuddling on gunil's bed.
hyeongjun's fingers traced gentle patterns on gunil's arm, a silent reassurance that spoke louder than any words could convey. the room held a soft luminescence from the dimmed lights, casting an intimate glow over their shared space.
their breaths synchronized, creating a rhythm that echoed the unspoken connection between their souls.
as the vulnerability of hyeongjun's confession lingered, something drew them closer. who knew what it was, hyeongjun couldn't really tell himself. their lips brushed against each other in a hesitant yet passionate exploration, a tentative beginning to a journey neither had embarked upon before.
the world outside ceased to exist as they surrendered to the attraction felt towards the other, their bodies moving in harmony.
the kiss deepened, emotions swirling in the delicate exchange. hyeongjun's hand laid on gunil's neck, fingers threading through his hair, deepening the connection.
gunil reciprocated, allowing himself to be swept away by the currents of desire and affection. their kisses became a language of their own, expressing emotions that had long been confined to the depths of their hearts.
time seemed to stretch, encapsulating the profound intimacy they were discovering. the room echoed with the soft symphony of their shared breaths, and every fleeting moment etched itself into the fabric of their memories.
each kiss carried the weight of unspoken promises, forging a bond that transcended mere physicality.
eventually, they broke the kiss, foreheads resting against each other as they savored the aftermath. in that pause, gunil and hyeongjun exchanged a silent understanding, a promise that this was the beginning of them.
their intertwined fingers spoke volumes, affirming a love that had finally found its voice. and suddenly they weren't tired at all, maybe going a little bit further than just a single kiss.
