"Bambi!" I turn around and smile at my sister.
"Are you ready for this?" we are dress shopping today. Her wedding is in one month, a December wedding. We're buying and getting the dress today and Bailey is going to take it home and make the alterations needed.
"As ready as I can be." I smile.
It's been a few weeks since I started living with Andrew. That second night was an eye-opener. I never actually got over him. I thought I did but I guess not, I can't overthink this. We are just friends.
Bailey, Mom, Mason's mom, and some of Chloe's other bridesmaids waited for us inside. We walk in and smile at them. "I can't believe you are getting married." Mom squeals and I laugh.
"Technically she did first." Chloe points at me and I roll my eyes.
"You know that is a lie. I only did that to get Mollie away from us." everyone laughs and we smile as the clerk comes over to us.
"Who is the lucky lady?" Chloe raises her hand shyly and the woman smiles at her. "Wonderful, what are you thinking for your special day?" Chloe goes into detail about the type of dress she wants and we all just smile at her.
Chloe has been dreaming of this day since Mason and her first said I love you. She knew at that moment that she would spend the rest of her life with him and I couldn't be happier for her. Chloe walked away with the clerk and we all sat down in the chairs waiting for her to come out.
She comes out wearing a strapless gown with lace covering the whole dress along with beaded details along the skirt. She looks in the mirror and back at us, I look over the dress again. Chloe is a very simple person, she doesn't like over-the-top details or anything like that so I feel like the dress is a bit much for her.
"I don't really like the amount of detail this one has, don't get me wrong it is beautiful I just would rather have something more simple." the clerk nods and Chloe looks at us again, I give her a nod as we watch her walk away again.
After a while she walks back out with another gown, this one a little more princess-like, with a lace trim at the bottom, and the rest looks very flowy with an off-the-shoulder strap set. I know she plans on wearing her dress the whole time which I know a lot of brides don't normally do but she wants to wear it for as long as she possibly can.
"I like the off-the-shoulder look but I don't know how I feel about the poof in the skirt." the clerk nods again and walks away again, Chloe stays put talking to us while the clerk does what she needs to do.
"Do you think you and Andrew will get back together? I mean you guys have gotten close again." I look over at Chloe and shrug. I wouldn't be opposed to it but right now I need to focus on me.
Andrew and I spend almost every night together, but we are just talking or watching movies. I stay in the guest bedroom now since he got the bed last month for me. But we still have dinner together and talk all the time, plus he still lets me use his bathroom.
I shake the thoughts out of my head as I watch Chloe walking away again, I hear my phone ringing. I get off the chair I was sitting in and walk out of the building to answer it. "Hello?" I hear someone clear their throat.
"Hey, I was umm wondering if you'd want to go somewhere with me tonight?" I listen to an uncertain tone in Andrew's voice.
"I don't know when I'm going to be done with Chloe and the others but sure, we can do that." I hear a knock on the door and see Tina, one of the other bridesmaids, knocking on the glass telling me to hurry up.
"I have to go to this gala, charity, thing for a friend of mine and I can bring a plus one so I figured I'd ask. Don't worry about a dress or anything I can get you something. I'll see you tonight." he hangs up the phone and I stand there in confusion. Umm, okay.
