Andrew and I have been on the road for an hour now. Bailey sent us on a wild goose chase just to bring us back to my parent's house. Today is supposedly our gender reveal party but why are we here? I don't want to be here if all of me isn't going to be welcome. I look down at my phone and sigh when Bailey sends another message.
Bailey: Just come inside. If your mom starts anything then I will be happy to shove a sock in her mouth. Your dad wants you guys here. We all want you here.
I sigh and look over at Andrew, "I can pull out of this driveway faster than you could say cupcakes." I chuckle and shake my head.
"Bailey said she would shove a sock in Mom's mouth if she tried to start anything so I guess that's persuasion enough for me." Andrew chuckles, hooking his finger under my jaw, and leans forward to kiss me.
"Just say the word okay? And we will be out of there faster than the speed of light." I nod and take a deep breath as I start to get out of the car. Andrew shoots me a playful glare as I put my hands up in surrender waiting for him to open my door.
He has been more possessive about the gentleman ways more recently which I find cute. But I hope he knows I am more than capable of doing some things on my own. I shake the thoughts from my head as he opens my door and holds a hand out to me. I smile at him and start walking up to the front door of the house I grew up in.
It's changed a lot since I moved out, my room is an office for Mom now and Chloe's room was turned into the guest bedroom while the original guest bedroom was turned into a playroom for Ashliee and Brian. I sigh as the door opens and Dakota opens it with a huge smile on his face. "You look amazing." Dakota wraps his arms around me and I smile.
Both of my siblings have been so supportive of Andrew and I. I don't know if I could really do this without them. I mean I have Andrew, yes, but these guys right now are my rocks. I take a deep breath and let my brother go as he closes the door behind Andrew. "Everyone is in the living room. Cassidy, do you want any water or anything?" I shake my head and look at Andrew.
"Grab one just in case." I roll my eyes as he puts his hand on my lower back and leads me down the hall, I look around and see a bunch of decorations, pink and blue balloons. I see Bailey, Mason, Chloe, Daisy, Ashliee, Brian, Andrew's parents, my parents, a guy who I've seen in some of Andrew's pictures from college, and Karina. I take a deep breath and see two open seats between both of our parents.
He takes a seat next to his dad and I take the seat next to mine, Dad smiles at me. "You look stunning sweetie." I smile and put my hand on top of his.
"Thank you." Bailey claps her hands making me jump and smiles at me.
"Okay, so I have personally never done this before so I am improvising here. I have some games lined up plus some raffles for who guesses the gender right. Yada, yada. The actual reveal won't be until later, so enjoy some snacks and desserts while I get the first game set up." I look over at the kitchen table from my seat and see some cookies shaped like little bibs and onesies.
"Did you make those?" Karina smiles and shrugs.
"It was a fun little project on my day off." I smile and put my hand on her arm as she stands in front of me. "Congratulations by the way." She walks away and I let out a small sigh.
"You okay buttercup?" I look over at the man who stole my heart.
"Yeah. Just tired." he nods.
"We can just go." I shake my head.
"No, it's okay. I want to stay. Plus we need to know if our babies are going to be named Issac and Kinsley." he chuckles and nods as he puts his hand on my thigh and goes back to talking to his dad.
