Ciscra POVIt's been a week, a week I have been stuck here. As soon as I was placed in a position as a castle maid, I started searching for Grey whenever I was allowed to leave the castle.
With a help of a fellow maid, Theresa. I was able to find Grey but it took me days to, I didn't find him in the mines as expected instead I found him I'm the warriors camp. It appers be found his mate, a wolf named Marcus who was a general at in King's pack.
We all knew the story of wolves and their mate bond, when me and Grey were younger we will gather round the elder of the village to hear them tell us stories of the value of wolves and their mate.
And seeing it happen to Grey who was always involve with this maté theory I was happy for him. And was glad he was in safe hands.
The castle has been warmer than I thought. I was quite taken by its beauty from within and its history written on the walls when I was assigned to clean it. The wolves here hate me and look down on me for my humanity, if only they knew I was far from that. They avoid me like a plague since I came as word went out I was at fault and a guard was killed for it.
The only friend I had made in my stay here is Tina, she was a werewolf but an Omega I came to know that wolves have what they called hierarchy which I still can't understand, they high ranking wolves looks down on an average or low ranking wolves which didn't make sense to me.
I tried to scoop into the castle affairs, Asking more about the king but each time I thought the topic on everyone seemed to be filled with fear and I was forced to drop it. My night has been filled with the white haired man, an image I couldn't get rid of no matter how hard I tried. Since I came in here I haven't seen or had an encounter with him, when I asked Tina about a white haired man she froze and changed the topic and asked me not to say a word about it anymore which left me in a curious state.
Since I was given a role as a cleaner, I was currently in the Art gallery, dusting the portraits of past Kings and their queens. I could hold but admit they all reek of power. One of these portraits caught my attention, it was a portrait of the royal couple. I was captivated by the image that I was unable to notice the figure behind me.
"Alpha king Alaric and Luna queen Elara '' a voice said behind me, I turned around and couldn't help but gasp.
There he stood, the white-haired man who had haunted my dreams ever since I first saw him in the depths of a dungeon. In the soft gallery lighting, his silver eyes shimmered, contrasting beautifully with his pale skin. He was tall and possessed broad shoulders that spoke of strength and authority. He wore a casual shirt that clung to his muscular frame, emphasizing the power that lay beneath.
"You seem quite taken by the portrait of my ancestors," he remarked, his voice as enchanting as the art around us.
I stammered, trying to find my voice. "Y-yes, it's a remarkable portrait. Alpha King Alaric and Luna Queen Elara, you said?"
He nodded, his silver eyes never leaving mine. "Indeed, they were quite the remarkable couple. Their rule was marked by peace and prosperity, a time of great significance in our kingdom's history."
As he spoke, I couldn't help but feel a strange connection between us and my magic jump inside me as if waiting for release, I stared at him lost in his gaze, something I couldn't understand why. I knew that my night will be filled with dreams of him again and he will occupy my thoughts like he has always done before.
"You look quite well, then the last time I saw you" he commented while scanning me up and down in my maid uniform which was too big for my body.
"You can say that, it seems for some reason I am stuck here as a maid" I spat out which made him chuckle at my words. His laughter sounded like music to my ears.
