Chapter 6

Ciscra Pov

I began to drift into a peaceful nap, a sudden knock on the door disrupted the tranquility. I groggily opened my eyes to find my roommate Tina standing there.

Tina entered the room, a look of impatience on her face, I knew she probably was surprised to find me in the room at this time, she  plopped down on the bed opposite mine. "Come on, tell me you finished your chores. You're in the room too early," she said, giving me a quizzical look.

"No, I didn't" I said me I watch her eyes widen.

"Why?..." she asked, I know what she was on about, I could get punish if I didn't but I don't care at this point.

I sighed, reluctantly sitting up. "I ran into him again," I confessed.

Tina froze, turning to look at me with a mix of curiosity and concern. "Who?" she asked.

"The handsome white-haired man," I replied. She stared at me in shock, then moved to sit on my bed, urging me to spill the details.

I took a deep breath. "He found me at the art gallery, scared me, and things got out of hand," I explained.

"Why is this interesting to you?" I asked as I turned to look at her, she seems so interested in what I had to say and I knew she had once mentioned that the white haired man was someone that shouldn't be talked about.

"It's just that, thay have been rumors" she replied shi he got my attention as I sat up.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked.

"The servant had once whispered that the lycan king had white hairs and when you mentioned it I got scared because the last girls who talked about the lycan king disappeared totally" she whispered and my eyes widen by the news.

"Why?...why is he so peculiar about keeping his appearance hidden what went wrong?" I whispered back, wolves had powerful hearing and we didn't want to risk a wolves passigg by and hearing us talk about the forbidden lycan king.

"Well, I few years ago....something went wrong in the castle and all the servants who served at that time disappeared. Since then it's been forbidden to talk of the lycan king in this castle" she said, though I didn't understand what she meant by that, what would had gotten wrong and why.

And besides how does this have to do with the white haired man after all, he had personally told me he was the King's right handed man.

I sat up, intrigued and slightly alarmed. "How does that concern the white-haired man?" I asked. I still couldn't get it, it doesn't make sense to me.

She explained that while she hadn't seen the Alpha King herself due to the restrictions on servants accessing certain areas of the castle, rumors among the maids and servants suggested he was a white-haired man. Servants had to be gone from the upper sectors of the castle before sunrise, and Theresa found it intriguing that I had encountered someone matching the description.

Theresa sighed, revealing that the maids and servants gossiped about the Alpha King's appearance. "The white-haired man you met might be more than just a random encounter. If he's associated with the King,I think you should stay away from him. It's dangerous ciscra." She mentioned and i nobbed she was right but i wasn't going to back away so easily. I needed to get close to the king and I feel the white haired man is my answer.

I gasped, processing the information. "He did mention he was the King's right-hand man," I confessed.

Theresa nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Everyone knows of Killian as he is the beta, look Ciscra can we drop this i am getting scared about this." She said.

Before I could respon, a sudden knock on the door interrupted us. We both froze, i could hear as Tina gasps and covers her mouth with her hands, I knew she was afraid that we have been caught. She looked at me and I rolled my eyes as I head to open the door, i wasn't going to be afraid of some guy and besides I was a stepped to getting to him.

I stood up, cautiously approaching the door, wondering who it could be...we hardly had visitors and when we did it was just another maid who had come to gossip some servants she found attractive.

Opening the door, my eyes widened as I saw Killian standing there. The air tensified as I tried to read his expression, could he had heard us?, i asked myself at this , and worse of all I could hear Tina gasps behind me. Killian was the beta and his presence at a maids quarters isn't something good. The last time I had met TH man he beheaded someone right in front of me and he didn't feel any remorse.

"Good afternoon," he greeted, his voice calm and collected. "May I come in?"

I hesitated but eventually stepped aside, allowing him entry. Tina and I exchanged anxious glances as Killian closed the door behind him. And Tina stood up in a hurry as she bowed to him.

"Beta" she bowed exposing her neck to him, a symbol of respect and  submission to a higher authority. I rolled my eyes at her, I wasn't a wolf so i as well wouldn't had to go through all these formalities.

"What brings you here?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady and without fear. I could tell Tina was terrified at my approach of speaking and shakes her head signaling me to cut it off. But i wasn't going to back don just like that.

As for killian, he seems amused by my words but I was far more curious what he would be doing here with me of alll person.

"You do have a smart mouth do you" he said clearly amused by me, and he broke into a smile. I could see from behind him as Tina looked in horror, killian wasn't someone who smiled or joked around he was like a king around here and I have heard several rumored about him and non of which were good. Some would say he was the devil and some describe him as a heartless lycan, after all he ran most of the affairs of the kingdom and I was starting to think he was the Alpha at times.

"It doesn't hurt if I let you know how I feel" I said with a smirk, I could tell he doesn't like people talking back at him but at this point I didn't care, he needed to know that he wouldn't get the same reaction from me as he does from everyone.

"Confident now, which reminds me of my reason of coming here" he said and i raise my brows up, I was curious to why he was here and I so needed to know why.

"Your coming with me" he declared or should I said ordered and I rolled my eyes and took a sit on my bed. He can't just come on here and order me I wasn't going to do as he demanded.

"Make me" I dared him as i layed comfortably on the bed, I tured to looked at Tina and I found her frozen where she stood, the colour had left her face and she stood as she stared at me with shock, I knew she was shocked that I had talked to him that way but I didn't care.

"As you wish " killian responded which retured my attention to him. And just like that two wolves came into the room and took hold of each of my arms dragging me off the bed, I looked at killian to see him Smirking down on me.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked.

"Oh you will see once we get there" he responded and I was dragged out of the room.
