I jumped out of bed as my alarm rang. 'I get to go to a hockey game today!' I thought, why am I not excited? I got dressed and went downstairs to the kitchen greeting my dog, Harvey with belly rubs. "Good morning, honey!" my father said.
"Morning." I replied weakly, what's happening to me? I went to the bathroom and brushed my hair, straightening it before I brushed my teeth.
"Breakfast is ready!" I heard my sister shout, 'Yum, I'm starved!' I thought til I looked in the mirror. I walked out of the bathroom, "I'll pass, we're having chicken tenders for lunch! Thank you." I said to my sister before I walked out the door and hopped on the bus."Hey loser, how's my buddy Harvey?" said Jax. "Decent." i replied in a monotone voice. Jax Waltz has been my best friend since 1st grade, we shared legos and instantly clicked. I'd smile thinking upon that memory, not today? Evelyn Holmes was next. She was my lab partner in 5th grade when we had to dissect a frog, we cried, instant connection. "Hey pretty girl!" exclaimed Evelyn. "I missed you at lunch yesterday, you okay?"
I sighed. "Mhm! Just uhm, wasn't hungry."
I stayed silent the rest of the ride to school.
First bell I had science, Mr Tenor, he's a cool guy. A classmate greeted me,"Sup, blubby." This rang through my ears but I just smiled and sat down thinking about my test 5th period.
Mr. Tenor started talking about genes and I took notes, adding another insult to my list. Blubby, really? The bell rang and I went on with my day until lunch. I walked past the lunch room and cringed, going to the bathroom instead. I took my notebook with me and looked at the names I had been called just this week. "Pig, fatty, chubby, obese, fat, cow, blubby." It never seems to end. My stomach grumbled and I enjoyed the pain, no food? no fat.
I waited in the bathroom until the bell rang, I walked out into the hall and walked to my 5th period class. English is usually my favorite subject, but these vocab test kill me. I got my laptop and logged in sitting down in my seat as I began the test. I was near finished when I started to feel sick. I raised my hand and was given permission to go to the nurse when everything went black.
