I brushed my teeth a watched tv before my dad came and checked me out of the hospital. I felt good for once, I felt thin, I looked nice, I got to see Jax..and Evie! We picked up Evie first, there were tears, but soon laughter. Then was Jax, Evie acted different around him, she'd bring up embarrassing things i'd done in the past, like how I peed my pants laughing in 6th grade. As if Jax didn't already know, he was the one who made me laugh.
I just smiled and cracked jokes until we made it to Olive Garden. "We look nice!" Evie said, looking at Jax. Jax replied, looking at me. "Yup, we sure do.." I chuckled a bit and followed my dad to our table. I sat down and Jax quickly followed, sitting next to me. Evie frowned a bit, but happily sat across from him. Our waitress came, she brought breadsticks and quickly asked us what we'd like to drink. I just ordered a lemon water while Jax order Dr Pepper and Evie order water too.
Jax's Pov -
I sighed, Ari usually always got Dr Pepper, not water. I hope she's alright. Evelyn kept glancing at me and smiling, I felt uncomfortable so I scooted closer to my aria and linked arms with her. I texted her under the table, her dad handed her the phone, forgetting to give it to her earlier. Aria looked at the text and looked up at me.
Aria's Pov -
I looked over at Jax and saw the uncomfortable look on his face, I texted him back and told him to ask my dad to take him to the restroom and see if Evie talked to me about him. Then, Jax asked my father and he took him, leaving me and Evie at the table.
"Do you think he likes me?" Evie asked. "I'd give it a bit more time.." I replied. Evie nodded, "He seems a little on edge, don't you think?" I just shrugged in response until the waiter came with our drinks. "Thank you, can we have some extra time to order?" I asked the waitress and she nodded, walking away. I texted Jax the whole conversation and him and my dad came back shortly after.
Jax's Pov -
I smiled at every text Ari sent me, she made me nervous. I walked back to the table and quickly sat next to my Ari. Me and Evelyn were supposed to be friends, why does she make me uncomfortable?
