Chapter Nine - {Birthday Dinner} Pt. 2

As we pulled up to the mall, I turned down the music due to the crowded place. Jax parked as close as possible and got out before me to open my door. I got out and he locked the doors, grabbing my hand. "Oh, I left my wallet in there!" I said. Jax smiled, "Don't worry sweet girl, it's your birthday I got it." I love him so much. We walked into the mall, hand in hand. The first store we went to was Aerie, I got some new leggings and a tiny top, Jax helped me build up the confidence to wear them.

We went from store to store, got Starbucks, and went to build-a-bear. We got a pig and named her Evelyn! After that, it was about time for my birthday dinner, we all went out to Texas Roadhouse and caught our reservation in time. Just the four of us, my daddy, Jacquelyn, me, and my Jax.

Our waitress came, we all gasped. It was Evelyn, she looked awful. She was pale, and super underweight. When she looked up our eyes met, she gasped. I was a bit chunkier now, a healthy weight. "Y-you look great, Aria. happy birthday." Evelyn walked off and got a new waiter for us. We all got our orders in and the employees came out and sang happy birthday, making me sit on the saddle. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. We got our food, I really enjoyed it this time. I felt good.

"I really gotta pee." I said plainly, making Jax get up. I kissed him on the cheek and patted my dad on the shoulder before walking to the bathroom. I bumped into Evie, I apologized quickly. "Oh, I'm sorry." I said. "Aria wait, please can we talk." I took her notepad and wrote down my new number before walking into the bathroom. I'm ready to forgive.

I finished quickly and washed my hands before walking back out to the table seeing the bill already paid. My dad smiled and hugged me goodbye, as well as my sister. I was staying at Jax's tonight, for the first time.
