Ladybug wiped her hand in sweat. And there, she could see Carapace giving her partner, Cat Noir, another knuckle sandwich.
"Carapace, stop!" chuckled Cat Noir.
"Sorry, bro," said Carapace, letting him go, "you know I can't do that. After all, what are best friends for?"
Ladybug frowned in confusion, followed by Rena Rouge. Recently, Cat Noir's been interacting with the other temporary superheroes such as Carapace, Ryuko, Minotaurox, and Roi Singe in ways that weren't what the two (more like Ladybug specifically) would consider, well, "normal." The two walked to the two abruptly.
"Okay, so what is going on with you guys?" asked Ladybug.
"What're you talking about?" asked Carapace, dumbfounded.
"What do you mean by that?!" replied Rena Rouge, "You're acting as if you and Cat Noir are best friends all of a sudden!"
"Oh, well..." Cat Noir tried, "...I just thought that I could just simply interact with other people."
Ladybug then asked him if that meant somehow becoming best friends with Carapace and the others somehow overnight. The two looked at each other awkwardly and back at their allies. They knew they had to go before the girls got any idea.
"I better get going." said Cat Noir.
He turned around, only for Ladybug grabbing him by the belt-like tail, acting like a mother about to lecture her son.
"Oh, no you don't." she said, "You better explain this now."
"Ladybug..." Cat Noir groaned, "...maybe later, please?"
"No. Right now."
"My Lady, I'm tired and I really need to catch up on stuff-"
Ladybug then used her strength and gripped onto his collar. She growled in frustration. She demanded to know.
"No, you tell me, right...now!" she shouted.
Cat Noir could see Rena Rouge doing the same thing to Carapace. He then finally exhaled in defeat.
"Alright, alright!" he said, "Me and Carapace know each other's identities!"
The two girls stopped, letting go of their allies. Carapace took advantage of this to move next to Cat Noir. The two stared at each other and back at the girls. And awkward silence followed until Ladybug spoke again.
"What did I say about our identities being secret?" she asked.
"I mean, come on, Ladybug," said Cat Noir, trying to fight back his anger, "Carapace deserves to know."
Ladybug frowned, not believing this.
"You can always tell me, you know." said Cat Noir, crossing his arms.
"Kitty..." Ladybug groaned.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Forget it."
The cat-themed superhero then began to hop from roof to roof before Ladybug could stop him once again. Rena Rouge then began to ask Carapace if he truly knew Cat Noir's identity, but Carapace lied that one person knowing is already enough.
