Miraculous Civil War

Chapter 14: Date Night Gone WRONG

Gabriel stared at the TV in his office, observing the battle between Teams Scarlet and Noir. This was all...quite interesting. A Miraculous Civil War.

Nooroo had mentioned that it's only happened twice. And apparently, a Miraculou Civil War could become an actual civil war if the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses declare war with each other. It made quite a bit of sense. Those two were supposed to be a team, working together. The first time, both holders survived, but there was a truce. And the second time, both fell to the hands of each other. And that gave Gabriel an idea.

If he couldn't kill Ladybug and Cat Noir, then they could most certainly kill each other. And even more, he could Akumatize Cat Noir and speed up the process. It seemed to have succeeded, it backfired however.  

Cat Noir, or Cat Blanc, seemed to have resisted in a way Gabirel didn't expect.  He could sense that the Akuma is around, however, he can't see who Cat Noir is, therefore, he couldn't discover his identity.

He broke free from control, but not the power he gave him.  And he couldn't take the Akuma back.  

"I will find you, Cat Blanc." he said, "That, I promise."

Adrien waited at the Dupain-Cheng's bakery.  It was in the afternoon, and it was almost time for his date with Marinette.  He had been so foolish, chasing a girl who could never face her fears, always choosing the place of comfort, never taking risks.  

Marinette was the one who truly loved him.  However, he needs to find a way to get her to know the real him, the Cat Noir of him, or Cat Blanc, or maybe Cat Gris in this case.  

He was able to break free from Hawk Moth's deep control over him, however, for some reason, the Akuma wouldn't let him go.  Plagg theorized that it was probably due to the fact that Adrien still had a lot of controlled emotions within him.

The Kwami of Destruction mentioned that as long as Adrien keeps control of his emotions, or until they learn how to get it out of him, Adrien will be safe from Hawk Moth's control.  And apparently, according to a few private tests, it does seem to go off on its own whenever Adrien's emotions get too extreme.  It takes full control until the Model calms down.  

Tom's voice suddenly brought him out of his thoughts.

"So, you're father makes you try things like those?" he asked.

"Y-Yeah." replied Adrien, half-lying, "They're a bit uncofmortable at first, but I hear they're easy to get used to."

"Ah."

"Coming now!" Marinette's voice beamed.

Adrien smiled as he saw her walk down the steps.  He took her hand, causing her to blush.

"You ready for our little date?" he asked.

"I sure am!" she cheered.

Marinette and Adrien walked around Paris.  They'd bump into a few friends, who'd wave at them.  They sat and ate for dinner.  They talked about how it's going on their sides of the world.

The Model explained that their relationship would have to remain secret since his father still doesn't like it that he's dating someone on the "low profile."

"We need to find a way to talk some sense into your dad." said Marinette.

"Yeah." said Adrien.
