The following week-end, educational tours for students were scheduled. There were two choices: (1) white water rafting along Colorado River; and (2) mountain climbing in the Rocky Mountains National Park. Hannah enlisted herself in the white-water rafting in Colorado River. Hannah was so excited to see the outskirts of Colorado.
Early Saturday morning, Hannah prepared the things she ought to bring - food, drinks, extra t-shirts and jeans. She went to the University campus together with Yulia from Japan and Arman from Armenia. They were in the fourth group of twelve groups. Each group consisted of ten persons. They were given life-vests by their tour guide and instructed them how to help others in case their rafts were capsized. They were also taught how to paddle.
The white- water rafting activity afforded Hannah the opportunity to see the outskirts of Colorado. She felt the cold water that sometimes bounced at her face. There are portions of the Colorado River that runs smoothly but at times, the water runs wild. At some point, the third group's rubberized raft capsized. Hannah's group managed to help save each participant in the third group. "What an experience!" Hannah exclaimed. "Yup and it's very tiring!" Yulia answered. "One thing we can be proud of is - we were able to save the lives of others. We can tell our children and grandchildren of this wonderful experience." Arman added. It took them another thirty minutes before they finally came out of the river.
Hannah, Yulia and Arman were tired as they walked towards their bus. Hannah and Yulia managed to get their foods - sandwiches and drinks inside the bus, ate them outside before other groups arrived. After eating, they rode the bus and were seated together. Arman, on the other hand, was seated at their back. Feeling so tired, they slept inside the bus until their arrival in the University campus. "Bye for now!" Arman said. "See you guys on Monday!" replied Yulia. Hannah just waved her right hand and walked towards her apartment. "At last, I can rest!" Hannah said to herself.
