Bad Start! Worse Ending

I have avoided Brody and Jason since Monday nights ... going ons. But now we are being partnered up in English class and there's a chance I could be out with either of them; Brody, Jason, Lily, Ryan and I are left. One of us will be in a three.
"Okay Brody, Ryan and Tara. You three in the top corner. Lily and Jason the table, two away from them." Everyone groaned simultaneously as our teacher sat down and waited for us to move. Why? Why Brody?
We sat together but he didn't say a word to me not one. He just avoided eye contact well actually he avoided looking at me. Period.
Twenty minutes later the bell rang and Brody shot out of the sit and walked over to the teacher. I silently and slowly put my stuff away trying to over hear what they were talking about. Just as I got close enough to hear Brody turned away saying "Thanks sir."
"Tara. You will be with Jason next lesson. He is your new partner." The teacher ushered me out and shut the door.
Brody is trying to ignore me. Shouldn't I be the one ignoring him?!!

"T! Hey beautiful!" I love Mia she is an amazing best friend. "I heard you got partnered with Brody in English. Who am I with?" Oh yeah that's right she wasn't in class. She had a doctors appointment for something.
"You are with Frank. And I was with Brody but he doesn't like me so now I'm with Jason." Her face went from happy to confused. Yes Mia that's exactly how I feel!
"But you haven't don't anything have you? Maybe Cole knows why his being like this." Before I could answer she drags me to the boys gym and calls for Cole.
"Hey ladies. What's up?" He popped the 'p'.
"Why is Brody being such a d!(&head to Tara?" He laughed then when he realised we weren't laughing his face went serious.
"You actually mean he is ignoring you and everything. Wow! But he really likes you I mean really likes." He stressed really the second time.
"Well he isn't acting like it! Gosh I hate boys sometimes. Why is he acting like he doesn't even know me?" Not to seem like a heart broken puppy right now but I really thought he liked me and yes I wasn't keen on him.He just gives me this weird feeling and I really like him.
"Well can you find out for me please Babe." Mia hugged him then stepped away.
"Mmh huh umm yeah well I ... Yeah." Cole stuttered and quickly reentered the boys changing rooms.
Mia looked at me and at the same time we turned round and maybe shrunk a little. Please please tell me Brody hadn't heard any of that!
His green eyes, which seemed to have blue flicks in them today, flickered between Mia and I until he finally left them on me.
His jaw tensed and his face brightened with either anger or embarrassment. Maybe a bit of both.

"Move out of the way." He gestured for us to move. Nope. Here comes angry Tara cause he is really starting to annoy me.
"Why are you being so cold!" I shouted. I am not going to hold anything back. If he wants to ignore me then I get to shout at him.
"Seriously I haven't even done anything wrong. The last I knew you were horrible to me!"
Before answering emotions spread across his face but disappeared so quickly. "I just don't like you. I've realised how mean you are." He replied in a monotone. "Now just get out of my way before someone gets hurt." Okay I have no idea what that means but I guess we will find out.

"Oy Brody. Are you hurting these girls?" Jason sauntered up behind him and winked at me. He winked at me! Brody's eyes noticeable widened and he said "No no just asking them to move out of the way so I can get into the gym."
In one swift moved Jason had got Brody up against the wall whispering something in his ear. I have never seen Brody so weak.
"Jason get off of him. You are such an idiot!" I shouted and shoved at Jason. Which didn't move him one bit. It did however distract him and let Brody punch Jason's arm off and get out of his hold. Not wanting anything else to happen I stand in between both of them and look over at Mia for some help. She is just staring off into space like she is thinking about something.
"Oh my gosh!" Mia silently exclaimed. Not so silent that we looked over to see what happened. Nothing she was just standing there gob smacked.
"Both of you grow a pair and get over what ever is wrong!" Not wanting to be in either of there presences I grabbed my best friend and walked off.
