Suddenly, someone sat next to me. My brother, Lucius Malfoy. He would not be pleased if he knew. He already hated that I spent time with him. Keeping all this secret is my top priority at the moment.
"OH, it's you, brother," I muttered, turning to him.
He smirked as his eyes traveled over your cheeks, which were now pink due to being worried about him finding out. It always amused him how easy it was to get you riled up.
"So, have I interrupted some... personal time?" He drew the words out, his eyes traveling over you, slowly taking in every last inch.
"Honesty Lucius, leave me alone before I hit you. I'm not in the mood. "
He chuckled as he raised an eyebrow. "Is someone feeling feisty today?" He moved to sit closer to you and leaned in. "Now, now... I'm not here to fight. I just wanted to say hello." He smirked and brushed back his hair, making it fall over his dark eyes.
"Why would I want to talk to you?" I spat, staring out into the Black Lake.
He chuckled as he watched you.
"I hit you because I care. I want what's best for you. I don't want you falling into that boy's trap. He won't care about you... If it weren't for him, our family would still be respected!" He shook his head as he stood up and took a couple of steps back. "I don't want to get mad. I'm sorry if I have been harsh. If you won't listen to me, then at least talk to mother and father. You can't be seen around him."
He sighed as he looked at me, his face falling slightly. "You don't speak with me. You ignore me. Why?" He took a couple of steps closer to you as his face scrunched up. He was so confused. "What have I ever done to you to make you act like this?" He let out a shuddering breath as he backed away from you again. "I've done nothing but care for you. I've done everything I can to get you on the right path... We used to go have fun as kids remember? The beach... we could forget about everything back then. All of our families worry"
I sigh, turning to him. "All you do is try and control me. I am my own person. I don't have to follow the destiny our family has given us"
"You're a Malfoy," he said sternly, "we have a reputation to uphold. We are meant to be the most powerful family in the magic world. You can't just stray away from the path and expect to find happiness."
"Leave. Me. Alone, you pretentious asshole. " I was tired of him now. All the anger that I had with him was bubbling over.
He flinched back, his eyes widening. He was shocked by my words. "How... How *dare* you?!" He was shocked. He had never heard you speak in this manner.
"I was trying to help you! But you just shut me out..." He frowned. He looked mad, as if he truly wanted to yell at me, but he held himself back. "I can't believe you."My eyes welled with tears, and my fists clenched. "You called him a blood traitor. You try to control me. You force me to become something I'm not. I can't believe you."
"Do you even hear yourself? He is a *Black*. I don't know how else to make you understand how much trouble you are going to get yourself in by mingling with him." His eyes traveled over me, and it was as if he was searching for the reasoning. "You're not actually attracted to him, are you...?"
"Leave me alone before I hex you." I took my wand out from my robe pocket. "Try me,"
"How can I when you won't let me help you?!" Lucius clenched his fists. He was so frustrated by the entire situation. "Do you know what he's said about his own family? About our mother and father?" His voice was harsh, but I could see the hurt in his eyes. He was trying to protect me in his own way.
