A crash comes from the kitchen, and all the Sparrows jump up, alerted by the sound, until Reginald walks in
"Happy Birthday everyone!" He says, looking at each of them in turn. He takes in their facial expressions, all half frozen in shock.
They all mumble some sort of thanks before turning to their other activities. Jayme, Sloane and Fei were talking, Marcus was eating, Ben looking at him before stealing some food, prompting an angry Marcus to chase him. Alphsonso was laughing at Christopher's jokes.
All was fine, all was quiet, and that was fine with Reginald.
He made no attempt to go to the kitchen, where he presumed his other Sparrow was, nor did he make any attempt to call for her.
And he especially didn't let on any hints to what the crash was from the study
