Chapter 18

At the middle of Illusion forest, not far from the Lake of Soul, there stand a house. Not small neither large, enough for a small family.

The house surrounded by many trees and flowers, though the flowers are grown by the owner in her garden. There were many, roses, tulip, chrysanthemum and red spider lily. All grown in one single garden, making the place colorfull.

All builded and grown in a landscapes of the blue skies and a vast green grassland.

Seen from afar, the house seems really lively. Truth is, the owner are in a sick condition.

In a small room, which only filled with bed, dresser, a night stand, a chair and a table, Rushia can be seen laying in the bed, sleeping soundlessly while sometime letting out a cough and murmuring Tatsuya name.

Time walk as slow as it possibly can that day.

While Tatsuya...

"Patient...patient..." He said as he hold Flare's hand who pulled the string of her arrow.

Stellar's trooper arrived at Illusion Forest, much more than before and appear to be stronger.

The scent of human attracts another being that lived inside Illusion Forest, but for the sake of this plan, Tatsuya and Ken spread animals meat around the forest, letting the unknown being feast.

Tatsuya, Ken, Flare and another guards patiently wait for Stellar's trooper to get deeper inside the forest, at the same time following them whilst hiding.

Once all of them arrived at specified place, deep in the forest where it's hard to get back.

*Stomp

Tatsuya made an appearance in front of Stellar's trooper, stopping them to get deeper inside the forest.

A man walk a few steps towards Tatsuya, slightly shorten the distance between him and Tatsuya. Amongst all of the men around, this man are the most stand out. It seems like he is the commander of the trooper.

He wear a white full-armour, followed by a red cape on his back, and a dual swords that hide behind his red cape.

His physical appearance almost the same as Tatsuya, what differs them are the hair and face.

He had a dark red-ish hair and a black eyes. He wear an eyepatch on his right eyes, a result from numerous battle.

"It seems like you're the guardian everyone talking about." The commander spoke. "I'm curious about you, I was hoping to met you at my first time visit towards this forest."

"Nothing interesting about me." Tatsuya reply. "This is your second time,huh?"

"I didn't get a warm welcome that day. Unlike now." The commander said. "So, how will you hold a battalion of soldier by yourself? Mr. Guardian?"

Silence filled the air around, as Tatsuya stand alone in front of hundreds of men.

Ken finally gave an order, Flare and the others elves pulled the string of their bows, ready to shower them with rain of arrows.

The mages at the end of line began to cast spell towards the battalion in front of them.

"Hmm, you're a quiet person." The commander approaches Tatsuya. "What are you waiting for? Come on!!! Attack me!!!"

Tatsuya stand still, ignoring The Commander provocative talk.

"Attack!" Arrows shower the trooper as Ken said, breaking the focus they had and slowly breaking them into individuals as panic start to kick.

"Arghhhh!!!"

"Ambush!!!"

The soldiers scream in panic, the line they formed break. The arrows killed many of them, mostly pierce their neck and head.

At the same time, The Mages at the end of line released a powerfull magic canon, The Soldiers turn around because of the light and...

Tatsuya quickly ran, evading the cannon.

The commander react the same, he followed Tatsuya but it's too late as the cannon reach it's way and...

*Boom

The whole battalion wiped out, together with their belongings. There's nothing left, not even a single bone to be seen. A single spell could remove that many human from existance.

The spell did cause a lot of trees gone and killed some of the plants around. Tatsuya, Ken, Flare and the other guards quickly sow another trees and plant. Replacing the one that's gone and killed.

"See? That was a huge succes!" Ken celebrated in front of Tatsuya.

"Huge success my ass! I almost got blown from that cannon magic!" Tatsuya irritated.

"That's your fault for wearing an heavy ass armour,man!" Ken replied. "I've told you countless time to change it to more lighter armour!"

"So I could easily sliced in half?" Tatsuya instantly replied. "Why do you even call it an armour when it cannot even protect yo—"

"Calm down!" Flare cut down Tatsuya. "The most important thing is that we win against hundreds of human. So, please stop fighting you two!"

"Flare is right. I'm sorry man." Ken offer his hand and apologized to Tatsuya.

"My bad, man. Sorry for blaming you." Tatsuya apologized.

The plan was a huge success, a batallion were wiped out in a matter of minutes. More important, there is no casuality.

For a time being, everyone predict that Stellar are not gonna send another troops again for the time being. Today is their greatest loss. Just for exploring a forest, they sacrificed this much.

The guardians returned to Elves Town, and Tatsuya removed his mask.

After the huge success, Tatsuya decided to get back to Rushia's home after three days staying in Elves Town.

Right before his depart, Flare stopped him for a talk.

"Uncle, do you still remember your promise?" Flare asked.

"Visiting City of Blue?" Tatsuya answered.

"I want to see ocean, like you promised me that day."

"One day. After this matter really finished."

Tatsuya departed from Elves Town and headed to Rushia's home.

As he arrived, the sun almost set. The skies turn orange yellow-ish together with the grass that slightly turn into the same color because of the light.

Tatsuya open the door, this time without Rushia welcoming him.

Maybe she still fall asleep.

He said to himself as he closed the door and head out into the second floor to check on Rushia.
