Chapter 10

Deep inside Illusion Forest,where beings mankind never see live,a place with so much wonder,a place that impossible for human being to reach.

But,there is someone,a normal human being who live together with the Keeper itself. A mercenaries,named Tatsuya.

After the lost of his father figure,Tatsuya decided to leave the kingdom he is working for,Trifid. He wanted to go back to his hometown and planning to be a fisherman. Sadly,it's all ruined after his encounter with an elves kid. Though,he himself never blamed anyone.

The elves kid,with a name of Shiranui Flare tell Tatsuya that she and the other elves lived inside the Illusion Forest. Realizing that Flare are a kid who just wanted to go home and met his family again,Tatsuya decided to take Flare to her home.

It's never been an easy journey,more than once Tatsuya saw his life flashing before his eyes. Luckily,after entering Stellar Tatsuya met with a soldier that show the way to enter the Illusion Forest.

Now that the two finally inside the forest,Tatsuya feel relieved because Flare will soon reunited with her family and now he can go back into his hometown. At least,that's what he thought.

Tatsuya surrounded by a group of Elves men right after he stepped foot near Elves Town. The men demanding Tatsuya to retreat Flare,all of them think that Tatsuya are kidnapping her.

Flare tried to convice all of them,but it doesn't work. Not wanting Flare to got hurt,Tatsuya tell her to approach the elves,but Flare resist.

"Uncle..."

"I fulfilled my promise to you,now go there and soon you will reunited with your parents again."

After that,Flare finally reunited with her family again.

One of the Elves immediately charge at Tatsuya,attacking him. Sadly,Tatsuya didn't win. A slash almost ended his life,thankfully he dodge it.

Amazed of what Tatsuya do,the Elves man had a chatter with Tatsuya and realize that,Tatsuya just doing a good deed. Ken,the Elves man whom clash with Tatsuya before decided to let him go even though Tatsuya can't never make it out.

Tatsuya found himself in a big banyan tree,there he treated his cut wound.

A sound of piano distracted him,the sound itself are warm and peaceful,leading him to recall his past memories. A warm autumn,where he play in an abandoned park,a gloomy scenery he remember.

From a far,a woman can be seen aprroaching him. She then spoke to Tatsuya,calling him. But Tatsuya responded in a harsh way with swinging his sword towards her. For that,Tatsuya got blown by this woman magic,knocking him over.

A warm day,Tatsuya can be seen sitting on the ground gazing at the skies.

"Tatsuya." A mysterious woman tapped his shoulder. "Let's keep going,there's one more area that I hadn't show you."

"Alright Rushia." Tatsuya replied. It appear that the woman is Uruha Rushia,the Keeper of Illusion Forest.

The two walked toward south with Rushia leading the way. Not so long,a building can be seen from where they are. Tatsuya realize it's the same building where the Elves live.

"Aren't this?" Tatsuya asked.

"Elves Town. Since you are my assistance,your existance should be known by the elves aswell." Rushia explain while continued to walk closer to the building.

Tatsuya and Rushia arrived in front of the fortress,an elves appear welcoming Rushia.

"Ma'am! How are you doing?" The elves spoke to both Tatsuya and Rushia.

"I'm fine,how about the elves?" Rushia asked.

"Wonderful! I have a good news,the missing child has returned!" The elves said.

"Glad to hear that. I need to spoke to all of you,may I go inside?"
"Certainly."

The gate of the fortress opened,revealing a town filled with elves. Rushia then entered,followed by Tatsuya behind her.

"It's totally different from what I thought!" Tatsuya said,amazed.

"What do you think before?" Rushia asked.

"It will blended with nature? Just like the fortress."

"That's rude."

All of the elves gathered as soon as they hear Rushia coming. With so much excitement,the elves wait for Rushia appearance in the town square.

As soon as Rushia arrived,the crowd shouting full of excitement,but they wonder who is the person with her.

Rushia stand at the middle of the crowd,gaining everyone attention. She then began to spoke and introduced Tatsuya as her assistance.

"Forgive me for a sudden visit,but I have something important to announce." Rushia spoke loudly. "This man,who is standing beside me. Are assistance of mine,his name is Tatsuya. So,if you see him roaming around,don't be afraid."

Everyone then cheered,including Rushia.

"Are you sure that necesarry?" Tatsuya asked Rushia,the two can be seen sitting together at the ground in front of Rushia's house.

"It is. If I didn't do that,same thing will happened to you,maybe now it's not your forehead." Rushia replied.

"It will not happen again,I assure you."

"Good then."

Tatsuya and Rushia then gazed at the orange yellow-ish skies for hours before the day turned into night. At that moment,Tatsuya glance at Rushia seeing her side profile.

'Rushia,i thought you were a scary woman,like the fairytale i used to hear. But it turned out the opposite. Rather,you are,beautiful.' Tatsuya mutters inside his heart.
