"This is your cubicle, if you need anything, you are free to call and ask me!" Taehyung's assistant said and I smiled at her."Thank you!" I sat on my seat.
The first day of anything was nothing but full of energy, exuberance and efficiency and I was no exception.
I hadn't made an apology to Dad yet, I was waiting for a better moment and a better way to deal with that. Andria and I had grown distant in this week. There were no messages, calls or meetups now.
She was my sister but she had no right to slap me while I was talking to my Mom and Dad. She should have minded her own business. I had the fucking right to open up or scream about the stuff I didn't find right, to my parents, she didn't have to interfere. They were my parents too and she was not the only one who cared for them.
She wasn't close to Yoongi and I didn't expect her to feel that restless and mad at his murder, just like how I was.
It wasn't an accident, it was a fucking murder. I knew it.
It felt as if he must be watching me from up there, feeling terrible since I didn't fight for the justice he deserved.
He did so much for me when he was alive, yet I couldn't even do the bare minimum for him when he was dead. He couldn't fight for himself now, he must have expectations from me yet I was giving him nothing but disappointment.
"Mr. Jeon is calling you!" a girl said and I came out of my trance. I nodded at her before going to his cabin.
"You called?" I asked hoping he would be professional at work at least.
"Hmm!" he said working on his laptop. "I need the data report in an hour!" he said casually.
"1 hour? That's not possible! I can give it to you by the afternoon!" I argued. He looked at me.
"That's not my problem! You have to make it possible! The company pays you high for a reason!" he sounded serious just like how his face looked. He wasn't asking that deliberately.
"Okay." I weakly spoke before going out.
He was my senior, I had to do as he demanded without a fight.
Sitting on my seat, all the events and worries from this whole week vanished. All I saw was work. I had to complete it, I didn't want to give him a chance to degrade me.
The clock ticked 9:58 and I cracked my knuckles and neck. I was done with it. I was impressed by myself, I had never thought I could do it this early.
I was glad he gave me that challenge, it helped me improve myself.
I drank a glass of water and emailed it to him. Fuck, the net was slow.
My foot tapped against the floor in anxiety and I sighed when the email reached to him at 10:01.
'1 minute late. Next time, I will have you redo it!'
I got an email from Jungkook and I looked at his cabin. He looked at me and smiled.
'Welcome to my hell, redhead' he mumbled and I scoffed looking away.
The whole working hours went by Jungkook's order of that file to this file. I couldn't even have the lunch break. My sweet colleagues had organised an orientation lunch for me, yet I couldn't attend that because of the workload.
"Emma!" Taehyung walked to me hastily and my anxiety shot up.
Did I do something wrong? I didn't want to destroy our good bond with any official mistake.
