Barbie's POV

I thought for a moment and considered all of the options and possible outcomes of each choice.
Then I looked up and smiled.

"For now...we have to watch our backs. We always should have backup plans in case anything goes wrong," I replied to Patricia's question, "At the same time, we have to keep our eyes and ears open to gather any useful information that could help us."

Others nodded in understanding and agreement.

"We need to know the mysterious designer that Jemma is modeling for," I continued, "That person could be the key and the answer to everything."

Teresa chuckled and offered a smirk. "I know that I could get in trouble for this, but I could hack into the main system and figure out the names of all models and designers," she offered.

I sighed and closed my eyes for a moment.
Nikki is our friend. We gotta help her. And hopefully Auntie Zee won't come to know of this. After all, what you don't know won't hurt you.

I opened my eyes and nodded.
Then I looked at others.

"I could do a research on every single person on that list," Stella offered.

"And I know I'm going to get regrounded again if I do this, but I can lure Jenessa somewhere “private”, get her to reveal her true colors and record it as evidence," Cassandra gave a cheeky grin.

That was a nice plan...and hopefully Auntie Zoe wouldn't learn about it or else all of us were getting screwed up this
time.

"Isn't the show going to start in less than an hour?

Ohh crap! I almost forgot all about that.
Well luckily there wasn't a long way there. We could easily get there on time. But we had to prepare.

Once we got there we saw all of the models hurrying to get ready for the show.
"What did you design for us to wear tonight?" I asked as I walked towards my closet.

Nikki smirked.
"You'll see," she replied.
I chuckled and opened the door to the closet.

I gasped in shock at the sight.
The white fur coat was slashed...ripped to pieces.

Ohh no!
Someone sabotaged my clothes!

"Guys!" I called. Then too a step to the side to reveal what really happened, "This isn't good."

Ken quickly walked towards the closet and started inspecting the torn coat.

"This looks like as if someone with some real beef with you," Ken commented while examining the ruined clothes.

Nikki on the other hand was frustrated.
"I don't understand! Why would anyone have any grudge against Barbie?" Nikki threw her hands in the air in frustration, "She's too nice for anyone to dislike her."

I gave her an amused look and raised an eyebrow questioningly before I chuckled at the irony of the situation.

"Sure. No one hates me to the extent to ruin the clothes I was going to wear for tonight's show," I replied sarcastically, "But there are people who want to kill me...one in particular wanted to have me decapitated by a sword and take my head as some sort of trophy."

Nikki blinked in surprise and then she sighed and shook her head.
"Yeah...good point. I take that back," Nikki chuckled. But then she quickly sobered up, "But.....now we need to fix this."

Stella gave her a confused look and raised and eyebrow as she crossed her arms.
Yeah....how exactly are we going to fix this? We don't have time for Nikki to design another outfit now.

"After what happened with Patricia, I knew something was up...So I decided to have extra designs done for situations like this," Nikki explained.
Wow...that was indeed a smart move.

"But it's in my hotel room...in my closet," Nikki continued. But the show was about to begin in 20 minutes.

"I'll go get it," Patricia volunteered, "What do the the clothes look like, Nikki?"

"A pink sparkly blouse with pearls sewed to it. A furry white  jacket. A leather black skirt with pearls sewed to it. And black long leather boots," Nikki told Patricia the description of the new clothes, "And they're all in a black bag in my closet."

Patricia nodded and ran towards the backdoor.
I watched as she exited and then sighed.

Nikki started pacing nervously as we all waited for Patricia to arrive so we could get ready for the show already.
The show had already begun and other models.

"Good luck with the show, losers!"
I glared at Jemma as she chuckled and headed towards the stage.
Why am I not surprised at this point?
She probably had something to do with all of this....or Jenessa....or that mysterious designer.

Right then the backdoor was opened and Patricia rushed inside with a bag in her hands. She was breathing heavily.
She stopped for a moment to catch her breath.

"Please....tell....me....I'm not late," Patricia panted.
Before any of us could say anything we heard the announcer's voice from the speaker.

"And now....it's time we see the magnificent designs of..... Nikki Watkins!"

I glanced over at Patricia and smiled.
"As a matter of fact, you're right on time," I replied.
I grabbed the bag and unzipped it and started quickly wearing the outfits.
I had to admit. It looked absolutely magnificent.

"Quick...get ready," Nikki turned around towards me and Patricia, "I'll do your hair."
Once I was done, Nikki started to braid my hair. And then she started doing Patricia's hair.

Right then we saw Cassandra walking right back towards the backstage.
"Alright...you two are next," Cassandra told us.

I stood up from the chair and walked forward. Here comes nothing.
With that I started walking down the runway with a smile plastered on my face...but it all was too overwhelming.

Not because of the cameras flashing in my face....but because of the fact that someone did such horrible thing.
Is it common among models to sabotage each other for the sake of some competition?

As I was walking back towards the backstage I didn't miss the deadly glare from Jenessa....it looked as if she wanted to strangle me.

Something was wrong with this woman. She was acting really strange. I did understand why she hated Patricia.
But I had no idea what she had against me.

Who knew that life as a model could be this stressful?
Maybe I should stick with the musical career I've planned out.
