Barbie's POV

I was pacing nervously, as all of us were waiting for any news from Cassandra...and the mysterious person she was on phone with in the room.

She, for some reason, insisted on talking to this person, privately.
After some time, the door was opened and Cassandra stepped out.

"So?" Patricia raised an eyebrow, hoping to hear some...good news.

"He agreed to digging more information about her," Cassandra responded with a grin, "He'll text me the results in around an hour at the most."

I glanced at others.
Hopefully all of this will be resolved soon and we can enjoy the rest of our trip here.

I sighed as I nodded.
With that I headed towards the kitchen. I really needed some snacks right now.

Just as I was about to open the fridge, someone hugged me from behind.
I turned around and smirked at Ken.
"Someone seems to be hungry."
I rolled my eyes and chuckled.

Right then I could smell something yummy....like fresh bread.

"In that case....I have something for you," with that Ken picked up a tray from the oven and placed it on the table and started decorating the freshly baked cupcakes with frostings.
He kinda looks cute and hot in an apron.

"Here....try some, sweetheart."
I grabbed the first cupcake and started digging in.

I closed my eyes and moaned while eating.
"It's amazing!" I chuckled. Then I grabbed another one.

Ken chuckled in amusement as I was eating the third cupcake.
What can I say? He's really good at baking.

"Can we try these?"
Right then I saw everyone else in the kitchen, too. Patricia was ready to grab one of the cupcakes

"Nah! This one tray is just for my girlfriend," Ken placed it on the table.
Ken walked towards the oven and picked up another tray.
"However....this one is for all of you."

It was safe to say that my friends were now a fan of my boyfriend's baked goods.
I shrugged and grabbed the fourth cupcake from the tray.

"I gotta say it, banana pie. You're really good at this," Patricia smirked and continued to dig into her cupcake.
Ken just rolled his eyes and shrugged.

He probably wasn't pleased with Patricia's nicknames....but she was adamant to keep on calling him that.
But “banana pie” was a new one.

Before he could protest, he was interrupted by a ringtone.
Nikki grabbed her phone but then frowned before answering.

"Hello, ma'am. Is everything alright?" Nikki questioned unsurely.
But then she froze, listening to the person on the other side.

Then she sighed and nodded.
"Sure....we'll be there."
We all looked at her, confused.

"It was Laura Stern...the one sponsoring this show. She owns a modeling agency and she wants every model to be present before the next round of the competition and in three hours," Nikki explained to us.

I frowned for a moment.
A modeling agency? That means they want to hire more models. So that's why she's sponsoring this show to begin with.

"And another interesting fact...Laura Stern is the wife of David Stern....the president," Teresa stated as she looked down at her tablet.
At that I grabbed her tablet and looked at the search results.
"Could she be the Kayla Black we're looking for?" Patricia asked.

It seemed quite possible. Winning that huge sum of money could help her modeling agency for sure.

"And she has the means to forge another identity for herself," Cassandra pointed out, "After all....she is the wife of the president of the United States. But we need more proofs on that."

She was right about that one. We had tons of suspects right now. It could be literally anyone.
"I guess we should go to the studio to find the answers," Stella sighed.

Just as we were about to get ready we were halted by a voice.
"Right...right now?" Ken asked, surprised. Then I saw the disappoinment in his eyes.

Ohhh crap! We were supposed to go on a date tonight. How could I possibly forget something so important?

I frowned and looked over at my friends....who were confused...and then I looked back at Ken desperately, not really knowing what to say.
"Okay...what's going on?" Nikki asked and crossed her arms.

Ken however quickly understood what I was feeling at that moment.
He smiled at Nikki and shrugged.
"She's just nervous...no big deal."

I blinked several times. Of course it's a big deal.
But then he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and brought me closer to him.

"Hey...it's okay. However you owe me two dates instead of one," Ken whispered and then he chuckled.
I nodded my head and sighed. "Deal," I replied.

With that I headed upstairs and looked through my suitcase for something that could be cute and yet impressive.

I decided to wear a white top crop with a pink leather jacket, a pink skirt and a little black shoulder bag.
After applying a bit of lipsticks, mascara and eyeliner...I was good to go.

I headed downstairs where others were waiting for me.
"Now that's a good look. It's perfect," Nikki complimented.
"Thanks," I replied and gave her a smile, appreciating the compliment.

"You're not gonna give me a kiss, babe?" Ken chuckled and shook his head before blocking my way, "I'm afraid I won't let you go till you give me a kiss."

I giggled playfully and rolled my eyes at his flirty attitude.
"Too bad I just applied my lipstick. Maybe another time," I joked.

Ken smirked and shook his head.
"Well my apologies, madam. No kiss no leaving."
I rolled my eyes and pecked his cheek.
"Are you happy now? I gotta go or else we're all gonna be late."

Ken frowned.
"That's not good enough," he shook his head before grabbed my arms pressing his soft lips against mine.
I quickly relaxed in his arms and kissed him back while grabbing at his shirt with my hands, then I felt his hands on my hips.

After a moment we stopped to catch our breaths.
"Now that's more like it," he whispered in my ear, a chill went down my spine due to our closeness. I rested my head against his chest.
I really wish we could stay like this forever.

A sudden flash of a camera snapped me out of my thoughts. We both turned around and saw Patricia with her phone in her hands.

What the hell?! Why does she keep on doing this?

"Adding this picture to my “Karbie” album," Patricia chuckled with a smug smirk.
Karbie? What the hell is that? A ship name? When the hell did she come up with that?

"Are you coming or not? We're going to be late."
I sighed and rolled my eyes and followed Patricia out of the suite.

Hopefully this meeting with this Laura Stern goes well so we could get this over with already.
