For three days I have had nothing but peace, the elves were lovely, some chose their freedom which I was fine with. On the second day I explored my land, met the tenants who rented homes, some where afraid of me because of who I was, I offered them peace and that I would not change their existing contracts unless they would like them to. It reminded me of a medieval time. They paid me rent, they also provided fresh food to my home. They farmed with help of magic, some were squibs. I inspected the homes of those whom were and saw their dreadful state, "oh my. This will not do. May I fix these things for you personally or send some elves? You should not have to live like this." The family nodded shocked. I took out my wand and preformed numerous spells until the house was warm and cozy, no longer leaking and creaking, the floor no longer dirt in some places and it smelled so much better, I had instructed Posy to replace the broken furniture. The family entered shocked, tears streaming down the face of the wife, "thank you my mistress. Thank you so much."

I smiled and hugged her, "if your family or any of the others need anything please do not hesitate to come to my home or owl me." It seemed after that the other tenants were not so wary of me. A few even smiled, it warmed my heart as I returned back to my home to a very unexpected visitor. "Draco?" He turned, "hey Soph. Erm I just wanted to check on you after well everything." I smiled even though it was his mother that helped caused my pain, "I'm alright, all things considering. I have not seen you well since we broke up." He nodded and looked around, "I'm glad you're doing alright. Sophie about my mother, I ... I'm so sorry." I gave a tight smile, "yes well we cannot control the actions of others, only our own." He nodded, this was utterly an awkward conversation. "Well thank you for stopping by Draco." "Yes I'm off to go see father." Talk about the devil, the floo roared alive and none other than Lucius Malfoy appeared. He took no notice of Draco and glided through the drawing room and embraced me tightly, "father I was about to come see you."

Lucius stepped away leaving his hand on the small of my back, this encounter getting even more awkward by the moment. "Ah Draco. Always a pleasure to see you. I was just dropping in on Sophie to see how she was getting on." I awkwardly stepped away, "I'm well Lucius thank you for caring about my well-being." He grasped my hand and pulled it to his lips, "but of course my dear." I smiled the air in the room was heavy, thankfully Posy arrived with a pop, "mistress tea is served." I took a seat on the settee as she handed me a dainty cup and I sipped it while she also served Draco and Lucius. "Posy could you bring Orion to me?" She nodded and popped out and popped back in and handed him to me, he smiled and look so handsome in his emerald green trousers and white shirt. The buttons had small silver snakes on them with small soft shoes on his feet. "Hello my little love." He let out a coo and a smile, "I tell you Sophie you were made to be a mother." "Thank you Lucius." Draco just watched his eyes on me.

I ignored them and rocked and played with Orion until he fell asleep which wasn't long at all. Posy appeared and I gently handed him off to her after placing a kiss to his nose. "He's a very well behaved baby." Draco broke the silence, "yes he is. Never really cries, very alert to his surroundings." "So gentlemen, what can I do for you? Lucius have you finished what we discussed at the ministry?" "Of course, I will be going through the current aurors and figuring out who to weasel out if necessary." "Draco I've made your father head of Magical Law Enforcement." He nodded not saying much, "congratulations father." "Thank you Draco." "So what are you doing now that the war is over Draco?" He looked at his father, "nothing I have not yet decided on what course of action my life will take." Lucius made a sound and returned back to his tea glancing between his son and I off an on. "Such a crazy turn of events this last year has been." He let out a chuckle and I let out a laugh, "yes Lucius what a crazy turn of events. That was perfectly said just now."

We both laughed again Draco looking at us like a deer caught in a car headlight. "Well thank you for the tea Soph. I'm glad you're well I'll be going." "Of course Draco enjoy the rest of your evening." He left in the floo without a word to his father. "I believe our friendship may have made your son feel out of place Lucius." He let out a deep chuckle, "I sense Draco had other intentions before my arrival thwarted his plan." I arched my brow, "now Lucius you have me curious to your own intentions." He smirked, "why Sophie I told you that day in the manor I'd be coming to check in on you." "I do vaguely remember that part of the conversation." His eyes were dark, "Lucius would you care for something other than tea? I've found some wonderfully aged brandy." "Yes thank you. He followed me to the corner cabinet in the drawing room that had housed some different alcohols. I took out a glass and gently opened the bottle and began to pour two glasses and turned to hand him one. He smelled it before taking a sip, I took a slip the liquid also.
