chapter 10

Y/n when home after a few more days in the hospital. Karen had came to get her. By the look on Y/n's face she could tell she was  broken . Karen sighs a bit and moved her hair out her face. "y/n you can stay with me and Hen if...." she was cut off by Y/n.

"Can you just... Drop me off at my place please?" Y/n asked her looking up at Karen. "Ok. We can do that." Karen said softly. Karen put Rowen in her car seat before helping Y/n in the car.

Karen felt herself wanting to cry seeing Y/n not as her normal up beat trying to make people smile self. She wanted Y/n to be happy again. Karen soon got to Y/n's place and helped her get out the car. To be honest Karen never been to her place.

"Let me help you get inside." Karen said as she was about to get out of the car. "No it's fine." Y/n said as she got out the car and when to get Rowen. "I'll miss you Karen." Y/n said softly. "What do you mean Y/n?"

Karen was confused for a moment. "I am switching to a different firehouse." Y/n said to her softly. Karen looked at her sadly. "please don't, Y/n." Karen said. "I don't wanna go. But baby, we both know. This is not our time." Y/n said softly. Karen was heartbroken.

"It's time to say goodbye." Karen said softly. Y/n nods and gave her a soft smile. Y/n took Rowen inside. Karen broke down in the car. She didn't want Y/n to leave at all. Karen drove home. Denny and Hen were just finishing up homework.

"Karen baby was wrong? Why are you crying?" Hen asked getting up from the dining room table and walked over. Denny looked over to his mom wondering what was going on. "She is switching to a different firehouse." Karen said crying. Hen hugged her letting Karen hide her head in her neck.
