Karen looked at Hen for a moment then at Denny. "Yes, she is very special to us sweetie." Karen said softly. Denny nods a bit. "have I met her before?" Denny asked her. "Yes you met her and her daughter. Before COVID started." Hen said to him. "Oh." Denny muttered.

~a few days later~

Hen and Karen where on their way to meet up with Y/n at her firehouse. When they pulled up they saw Y/n in sweatpants and a sports bra. "Wow she got stronger." Karen said checking Y/n out. "Mh-hm. Sure did." Hen said.

They got out the car as Y/n was heading to hers. "see you later Captain." Someone said to Y/n as they were heading to their car. "bye Luke." Y/n said. Y/n looked at her phone to see Hen and Karen where there. She looked up and waved before walking over to them.

"Hello Hen, hello Karen." Y/n said softly. "Hey Y/n. Your captain now?" Karen asked. "Yes, I just got promoted a month ago." Y/n said to them. "That's great Y/n." Karen said with a smile. "It is." Hen said with a sad smile.

~later~

Hen, Karen and Y/n had been talking for a while. "I am really sorry that we didn't talk to you in how we were feeling Y/n. We thought you didn't trust us and.... We messed up." Karen said. "how about we start over?" Y/n asked softly. Hen and Karen's eyes lit up a bit. "but your not gonna meet Rowen for a year." Y/n said to them both.

"We can live with that." Karen said and hugged her. "Yeah we can." Hen said and kissed her head. Y/n smiled a bit. "Good." Karen said with a smile. "here is my new number." Y/n said and gave it to them.
