Surbhi and Ashish finally regained consciousness after the accident. I rushed to them, needing to know what had happened—and more importantly, if they were okay.

"Ashish, are you fine now?" I asked, my voice laced with concern I didn't even realize was there.

"Ye—ah, I guess…" he mumbled, trying to sit up.

"Sleep, man. Don’t get up." My tone was firm, but he ignored me as usual.

"I’m fine, but what about Surbhi? And Advi?" Ashish asked, his hand pressed to his chest.

"Surbhi’s being treated, and Advi is out of danger." I helped him up.

"Bhagwan ka shukar hai. Advi bachi gayi… You know, Advik, during the accident, she saved a small boy. She got worse wounds than us," Ashish sighed, shaking his head.

(Thank God, she’s safe.)

I swallowed hard. Something about the thought of her being hurt unsettled me. It wasn't relief—it was more than that. I didn't show emotions over strangers. So why was I reacting like this?

Before I could think too much, Ashish snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Aren’t you curious to know how the accident happened?" he asked, his gaze sharp.

"Nothing is more important than your rest," I said, my voice composed. "I’ll ask later."

But my mind wasn’t as calm as I pretended to be.

AT THE HOSPITAL – WAITING FOR HER TO WAKE UP

"Bhai, go home. You’ve been here since last night, you’re tired too," Vinarika said, giving me a small smile.

"No, I’ll go later." I wasn’t leaving until I saw her—until I heard her voice, confirmed she was really okay. My heart was restless, but my mind told me I was being irrational.

Her mother came up to me. "Beta, why are you still here? You should rest."

"Koi na, Aunty… it's fine." I forced a short smile.

(Dear, you should go home. You’ve been here since last night. When she wakes up, I’ll call you. And thank you for being here.)

"There’s no need to thank me, Aunty. You’re like my mother, and no child needs thanks for looking after his family," I said without thinking. She smiled.

AT PATEL MANSION

As expected, my entire family was waiting for me—no one had gone to work. I tried to head upstairs, but my mom caught me.

"Kaha ja rahe ho, shehzade? Aayiye, baithiye."

(Where are you going, prince? Sit down.)

I turned back with a sigh.

"Hehe, bhai, your interrogation session is about to begin," keshwi whispered, smirking.

Dad’s sharp eyes locked onto me. "Sahab zade, what’s the full story?"
