Kim Dynasty Castle

"Jisung I want you to leave, I'm not comfortable around you." Seungmin looked down, he could feel tears forming at the corners of his eyes.

"Just leave what happened in the past please? I didn't mean to do it, I was younger and more immature." Jisung apologized.

"These are things that traumatize people. What are you saying? Are you still immature? Because you obviously don't see how bad that was. I still haven't forgotten it, clearly." Seungmin was now crying. "I hate you." He said.

Jisung tried calming Seungmin down without touching him but he just seemed to keep on crying. "...I understand, I'll leave you alone. I can't leave the castle though because I already promised to visit your mom. But I can find somewhere else to stay while I visit." He finally said, walking away from the sobbing mess. Although he was acting nicer, he was completely ticked off and was planning on visiting again.

Seungmin walked out of the bathroom and found a servant who was cleaning the hallway floor. He kneeled down beside her to ask of his mother and she led him to the throne room. Once Seungmin walked up to his mom who was reading through scrolls and talking to some others. "Mother, you never told me Jisung was coming here." He stood next to her throne.

Empress Kim looked up from the scrolls, confused as to why Seungmin was bothered. "You know Jisung? This is the first time he's come here though." She turned her head.

Seungmin gulped remembering what was said to him five years ago. "Yes, I saw him at an event a few years ago, although we never really got along." He muttered. Seungmin was about to chew on his lip when he realized his mother would know he was lying so he kept from doing so and just fiddled with his hands instead.

"Well the meeting is only going to last about two hours plus dinner then he'll be off and on his way back home. Right, Jisung?" The empress looked over at the guy who was nodding in response.

Seungmin flushed a deep red when he realized he said all those harsh things about Jisung in front of him. "Dinner? I thought I wouldn't need to participate in this..." He sighed.

"Well, get used to Jisung, I think he'd be a nice fit for you. Isn't that right?" The empress asked.

Jisung looks up from his scrolls and nods smiling towards Seungmin. "I think I could take good care of Seungmin." He said, then looking back at the scrolls.

Empress Kim smiled then looked back at her son. "See, i've talked to him a lot recently because I've been thinking about how this marriage would benefit not only the kingdom but you since he's a great guy, that's not someone you encounter everyday." She said. "Sit down Seungmin, i'm glad you're here, I was just about to call you here for dinner."

Seungmin pulled out a chair for himself on the long wooden table and seated himself, he furrowed his eyebrows when he saw that Jisung pulled out a chair beside him. "Didn't I tell you-" Seungmin whispered before getting interrupted by his mother who was making an announcement.

"There will be a few other guests attending soon, so son be on your best behavior." She said, and Seungmin sighed, nodding.

Jisung sat beside Seungmin and crossed his arms smiling at the empress.

After the meeting

Seungmin was about to leave when his mother walked around the table to his side and grabbed his hand, lifting it up. He gasped in surprise when she started shouting something for the whole table to hear. "In celebration of my son's future engagement and the future of this kingdom!" She clinked her glass with a few others.

Jisung cheered with her and also raised a glass up before sitting back down. "Thank you Empress Kim for giving me this chance." He said, looking over at the empress.

Seungmin shook his head in disagreement but knew the consequences with his mother if he protested in front of all these people especially during an important occasion. "Mother, i'll be going now, I need to talk to Jisung about something." He dismissed himself and the older.

The empress nodded in understanding and went back to the conversation she was having.

Jisung went with Seungmin wherever he wanted to talk and leaned against the wall. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"How are you un-bothered about us going to marry? Didn't you just say you'd give me some space?! The only way to end this whole thing is if you don't want to." Seungmin freaked out. "I can't marry you." He scoffed.

"I mean, I originally just came here to talk with the empress, but then she brought up an offer I couldn't possibly leave." Jisung tried not to grin in front of the younger.

Seungmin couldn't believe what he was hearing. "You said sorry, I don't understand." He muttered. "You can leave the offer you just didn't because like I said earlier: you didn't change at all." Seungmin rolled his eyes.

"Listen, I'm not backing out of it and that's the end of discussion." Jisung said, walking away and back to the empress.

Seungmin sighed and paced around thinking about something he could do but nothing was coming to mind. "Ugh I hate him!" He thought, walking back to his room and slamming his door.

Jisung leaned against Seungmin's room door and knocked. "Hey, your mom wants you to come outside... she's asking you what's wrong." He said before opening the door himself.

"You know the answer to that." Seungmin said.

Jisung sighed and ruffled Seungmin's hair a bit. "You act as if I can't do it again, so be grateful I'm not planning on doing so." He said, then backing up.

"I have a boyfriend!" Seungmin blurted out, pushing Jisung away.

"Really? If so, then why haven't you told your mom yet? You know, you could literally just end this thing if you told her even if I didn't want to end it." Jisung grinned.

"because..." Seungmin paused and looked at the ground." because i'm not supposed to be with him." He muttered.

"Ah, and who is this lucky man?" Jisung asked, now curious.

"Why are you interested in knowing that?" Seungmin scoffed.

"Because, I'm just curious, maybe I know him." Jisung said in response.

"It's Minho from the Lee Dynasty." Seungmin answered finally. "Are you happy?"

Jisung's eyes opened wide and then he chuckled. "I see, you're in love with my older cousin."

Seungmin was about to scream. "You're his... cousin?" He covered his mouth before he could do so and attract any attention to the two of them. "You two arent alike at all, he takes care of me and is kind to me and always asks for permission before doing anything but you're you." Seungmin scrunched his nose a little. "And I am not marrying you. I would have to wake up and see you every day and that's not going to work out."

"Well get used to it, I'll be visiting my cousin soon to tell him about our marriage so goodnight and goodbye." Jisung grinned before leaving already.

"What?! Dont tell him about this he might get the wrong idea!" Seungmin shouted down the long hallway. "I need to get to Minho fast.." He thought. Seungmin went to his room and prepared himself then left he palace to get his horse before leaving the place.
