Chapter 03

Local Pub

Seungmin is sitting in his usual spot, waiting for Minho to walk in, he taps his feet and fingers with a small smile on his face.

"Hi, there cutie." Lee Know whispers, tapping Seungmin's shoulder.

Seungmin gasped then turned his head around. "Hello!" He smiled.

"You're so cute, has anyone told you that?" Lee Know sat down beside the smaller one then ordering a pint of beer.

"Oh thank you, I've heard it from some of the girls that work for my mom back at my house," Seungmin responded. "But again, thank you," Seungmin said shyly, he blushed a bit, adjusting his hair.

"I'm glad you started coming here without your cloak, now I get to see your adorable face all the time." Lee Know smiled, taking a sip from his beer.

Seungmin looked at Minho's drink and waited a bit before building up the courage to ask something. "Can you please order one for me? I don't know what to ask for because Mother never let me have any." He asked.

"Do you have a bad tolerance? Like you can't drink too much alcohol?" Lee Know asked.

"No, I've just never been allowed these types of things. My mother said they only bring misfortune, but everyone my age seems to like it and they all look fine, so I guess it can't be that bad." Seungmin said.

"Alright then," Minho ordered another beer and slid it towards Seungmin. "Here you go, enjoy~" he joked.

Seungmin looked down at his pint and scrunched his nose at the strong smell. He put the pint up to his face slowly then took a sip of it. After two seconds he immediately placed the pint back down. "I don't like it..." He pushed the cup away. "It's bitter and makes my throat burn."

"It's alright, beer isn't for everyone." Lee Know reassured and passed the cup to the bartender.

"What do you like to do for fun?" Seungmin asked.

"Hm, I like playing cards a lot, sparring for fun sometimes, and mostly just riding around the forest with my horse." Lee Know smiled, then finished his beer and left some coins on the counter.

Seungmin nodded, he was a bit impressed. "I like riding my horse too in the field, also swimming in the river and taking care of myself." He listed on his fingers.

"That's nice, you seem like a calm and collected person who likes nature." Lee Know replied, admiring Seungmin's features from afar.

"Ah yes,  I guess you could say so. You seem as though you enjoy extreme sports and activities. We're complete opposites." Seungmin laughed, smiling.

Minho laughed a bit as well before standing up. "I'm gonna take my horse for a ride, want to come with me?" He offered his hand out for the other.

Seungmin stood up from his seat. "Of course that sounds fun." He began walking out of the pub and grabbed his horse who was tied to a small post. Seungmin untied him and hopped on top.

Minho did the same and led the way into an empty sunny field. "It's quite nice outside today." He said.

"Yes it's beautiful, the wind is perfect." Seungmin closed his eyes and took a deep breath in. "I love warm,  breezy spring days, they're my favorite." He smiled, opening his eyes again.

"I prefer winters better but this is nice as well." Minho laughed a bit, then stopped his horse in front of a large patch of flowers.

Seungmin stopped his steed as well, he immediately hopped off and stuck his hand in his pocket to grab a small pouch, then plucked a few of the flowers he liked the most, putting them inside.

"You sure like flowers, huh? I stopped by here actually since I thought you'd want them." Minho said, leaning down to the flowers.

Seungmin walked up to Minho's horse and looked up at him. "Really that's so thoughtful of you, thank you!" He smiled, then placed a flower in Minho's hair, just behind his ear.

Minho stood up and touched the flower in his hair slightly so it wouldn't fall and smiled at Seungmin. "Thank you, I love it." He said, almost letting out an aw at how adorable Seungmin was being.

"Your welcome, you look nice. Mother always braids my hair and puts flowers in them,  so I have a habit." He laughed. "Even our horses are opposites, mine is white, yours is black." He pointed to the two animals who were grazing on the grass.

"Haha, you keep mentioning how we're opposites. It's funny, but also makes me wonder if I'm bothering you by any chance." Minho said.

"Of course not, I'm having fun. My mom's making an exception for me to be out here. I usually have to stay home." Seungmin replied.

"That's good to hear, but I've got to go back home soon though. I noticed it's already dusk and my curfew is close by. But until then, goodbye cutie." Minho took Seungmin's hand and kissed it before hopping onto his horse.

Seungmin who's cheeks were now pink got onto his horse as well, partly frowning and then waved. They rode their horses into separate ways before each of them disappeared into the distance.
